• Her standards albums are quite good. People who had taken potshots at her were quite blown away with how well they turned out. Johnny Carson in particular, had her on and apologized to her face for all the jokes he had made about her and to say that she actually had talent.

• I know you'll laugh, but I'm a big fan here. Loved her standards albums, but loved her "When the Rain Begins to Fall" lp, too, which I'm sure she won't play any of. I may just go, though. Saw her in 1986 in Columbus, OH, during her two-week run there. It was a fun show.
