Why is she a legend? Because she's OLD?
I don't get it. If her performance is the best, let it stand on its own, but if there was a younger actress who gave a superior performance, why can't we just accept that?
She's a legend because of her work. From her first classic appearance and Cannes Film Festival winning performance in Hiroshima Mon Amour to her triumph this season in Amour.
The point of this thread wasn't about who should win the oscar, it was to appreciate a great actress, Emmanuelle Riva.
