Do you shower everyday?

• That's tragic thing about winter, R5. I usually shower more than once a day around this time, just to warm up, and my skin is a wreck for it.

• The question is sort of clear. If you were just going to lounge around the house all day. If you were not going to have quests over. If there no plans whatsoever to leave the comfort of your home. Would you go without a shower? If you're not going anywhere or going to receive callers, who gives a fuck if you have bedhead? Or a little ripe under your sack?

• No, more like every third day. A side benefit is I think the musky odor that builds up is sexy. No, I don't think or expect anyone else to agree, but I have seen others talk about how they like letting that "man smell" build up too.

• These people showering multiple times a day must have some dried out skin! Your skin actually needs some of it's natural oil, otherwise you're going to get bad wrinkles eventually.

• I don't feel completely awake until I've showered. Even if I'm hanging around the house on the weekends I'll typically hop in the shower by noon or 1.

• R33/R52. You're a bit obsessive. I doubt there is much 'dirt to scrub away' at bedtime after showering in the morning and after excercizing, in which those first two showers are entirely understandable.

• I haven't showered since before Halloween. No one knows. As long as you wash you're hair your fine. And most old guys like me have no hair.

• Every other. I don't sweat like some people. I wash my face and (especially) my hands several times a day, though. I shave in the shower. I look good with bedhead and scruff. I don't wear cologne or deodorant, either. Little is as unpleasant to me as a perfumed poodle of a man. Anyone who's ever commented on how I smell has told me how much they like it. I think I lucked out, pheromone-wise. I had a boyfriend who'd've liked for me not to shower ever. The most I'd go was three days, and if he was good, I'd let him lick my balls just before I took a shower.

• I remember that weird hairdresser who used to be on What Not to Wear who suggested not washing your hair but once a year. It was like a religion to him--a greasy hair religion. Luckily, his weirdo advice never caught on with the public and he was dropped from the show.

• My "program" is to shower every other day to save water (I live in southern California where the water bill can go sky high if you don't watch it) and sponge/washcloth at the sink from the waist up on "off" days as well as splash with soap and water the body parts "in need" (need one mention the ass?) from the waist down in the tub. So I guess that would leave my hair getting a quick shampoo every other day unless I do it in the sink if it needs it. I suppose someone will find fault with this regimen, but it works for me. To brush my teeth I put a small gob on for lowers, do that, then a small gob for the uppers, do that, use Listerine (especially with the flu going around), floss, then use the water pik.
