The gay icon of the 70s is now shilling a hair substitute called Toppik. Can we allow such a man to sink to these depths?
It is said that Aeschylus, the great Greek playwright, died when an eagle mistook his bald head for a rock and dropped a turtle on it. Aren't we as gays largely responsible for the improvement in the status of baldies in society, and shouldn't we do an intervention with Mr. Boxleitner?
One of my first crushes from How the West Was Won.
I just read a great interview in Shock Cinema magazine with Ian Ogilvy, who is now married to Bruce's ex-wife, Kathryn Holcomb. Bruce and Ian both appeared in the same episode of Babylon 5 in 1998, so I guess there's no weirdness.
Anyway, I know it's OT, but Shock Cinema is a Datalounger's dream. In-depth interviews with character actors about their roles in obscure films. I highly suggest you check it out.
Gay icon? Did I miss that memo? I don't think I ever heard of him in the '70s.

More the 80s than the 70s but yes he was.
He was a gorgeous man.
Gay icon... he's fugly as sin. You people have no standards.
I knew him briefly. He was married to a close personal friend of mine. He looked okay in person, but I've dated FAR better.
Melissa Sue Anderson
He was in good shape when he first starred in Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Broad shoulders, narrow waist, pecs that jutted out.
Talked with him a few years back and he is still GORGEOUS!
He's also funny, down-to-earth, sweet, and has great posture.
Melissa was there as well and she is still cute as a bug! Love her!
They are both so cute together and I am sorry that it didn't work out.
Bruce Boxleitner was never a gay icon, sorry.
He's very sexy and has a nice, fat ass and thick thighs. My favorite.

Stop sizing me up like I'm just a piece of meat! I'm a human being!
Bruce%20B.
Melissa G. posting at R12. He's ours, bitch, you had your chance.
If he was not an actual gay icon, he was certainly the object of many impure thoughts.
I also saw the hair powder commercial for the first time tonight, OP. Has he had some unsuccessful plastic surgery? He was almost unrecognizable to me. He's still attractive, I just had to look really hard to see him.
Should I adjust my set?
Bruce Boxleitner - isn't that a brand of pubic hair bleach?
