• I love Fran's story. Hard-working actress who toiled away for years in Hollywood in great films (Saturday Night Fever, This is Spinal Tap), not-so-great ones (Cadillac Man, Dr. Detroit), and on several failed TV shows finally makes good as a nanny with a heart of gold and the annoying voice to match, on a runaway hit sitcom. Throw in the fact that she was married for years to her high school sweetheart, only to have him come out as gay years later (and that they're still on great terms), her scary ordeal with a rapist who entered her home, tied her husband up and raped her while he watched, and her victory over cancer, and her story is the stuff that TV movies of the week are made of.
