Lumosity

Has anyone tried this brain training site? Holy moly I have THE worst memory. I'm 93 percentile in problem-solving and 7th in memory. My god. One memory game you have to remember tile patterns and I CANNOT get past 7.

• There's a free version and free app.

• the free version is limited. I don't use apps.

• I HATE their ads on YouTube. The actors sound mentally disabled.

• I've never seen them, didn't realize they had video ads. Will check them out.

• My mom has always had poor memory, or selective memory, she could always remember certain things but not a lot. Now that she's old it's gotten worse, she can't remember anything she saw on tv more than about a week. So I keep putting her favorite movies on over and over and it's like she's watching them for the first time. That's one advantage of a really poor memory. There are certain limitations to it, sometimes she can remember the movie if she'd seen it a lot. But usually she asks me if she's seen it before, and I'll say yes, about 5 times, but she has no memory of it.
