I held the door for him as he came out of the Plaza Hotel a million years ago. He was sort of monkey-like but in a fun way.
No, I'm wasn't the doorman.
Did he say thank you, r2?
he and the rest of the panel ALWAYS looked totally stoned on The Gong Show.
I loved the beautiful Swede, Sivi, Aberg. Was she Chuckie Baby's girlfriend?
I always found Chuck so hot. Probably very hairy in a monkey-like way.
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is one of my favourite movies. I wonder if Barris really made up that stuff of him being a hitman and killing 33 people like he claimed in his book. Amazing movie, Clooney never made a movie this artistic and clever after this.
I loved Chuck Barris. "Johnny B. Goode" was one of the greatest songs ever. I liked Michael Jay Foxes version better, tho. He had a lot of other classics as well.
I remember loving the movie when it came out, R6. But I watched it again recently, and found the color saturation to be really distracting and pretentious.
R10 the movie was really artsy, but in a good way I think. The DP was the same guy who filmed Drive.
That movie by the Danish director from 2 years ago. You either love or dislike cinematography like that. I loved it in both movies.
What the hell was Jaype P. Morgan? I mean, what the hell did she actually do?
Morgan was actually a jazz singer...I think that she still is actually.
I couldn't stand Barris's daughter that he insisted on foisting on the audience from time to time. She OD'd, apparently.
I always found him skin-crawlingly repulsive. I tried to avoid the Gong show but if I saw some, I'd say, if that guy claps ONE MORE TIME...
A friend was an NBC exec and we went to "Gong Show" tapings all the time. Chuck, believe it or not, was a really smart guy and quiet once you got him off the camera. He was also very charming in an offbeat way. A really good guy but that whole CIA shit was totally ridiculous.
Very gay friendly. Rhett Turner, who also did the costumes for "Mama's Family" was given a recurring bit "Scarlett and Rhett."
"Unknown Comic was HOT!"
Gene Gene the dance machine
He always had a very hot package on TV and nit ass in those suit pants ---
