Pioneers of Television tonight on PBS

It will focus on the primetime soaps of the 1980s-no Falcon Crest, unfortunately. I never miss a Joan Van Ark interview.

• Kind of disappointing. I don't like the host's voice and as a whole it lacks focus.

• I saw Joan Van Ark at that fancy supermarket in Beverly Hills a few months ago.....OMG it was unlike any human face I've ever seen. I almost had to be medicated.

• I was disappointed that they didn't cover Constance McCashin's (Laura's) rape on KL. She was magnificent in that storyline.

• I was kind of hoping it would reveal some things, but most of the behind the scenes stories have been around forever. I was never a huge Falcon Crest fan, but I would have liked something about it, since it was right up there with the other 3 for a while. I'd like to see something about the other nighttime soaps during that era that didn't last as long, like Flamingo Road or Emerald Point, N.A.S. or The Colbys.
