British ‘Ab Fab’ star Jennifer Saunders has spoken out to deny speculation that the Spice Girls musical is on the verge of closing due to poor ticket sales! The show, titled ‘Viva Forever!’ features music from The Spice Girls, and was written by Jennifer. Sadly it after its opening in London last month, it received a stash of scathing reviews, with critics calling the production "insultingly banal", "tawdry, lazy and unedifying" and a "clunker". Reports have also suggested that bosses are struggling to fill seats at the Piccadilly Theatre, but Saunders is insisting that it will stay open. In a post on her Twitter.com page she wrote, "Get (got) show report but having withdrawal from Viva... Despite Daily Male (Mail, British newspaper) predictions show goin v (very) well thankee (sic)." Spice Girls stars Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham have all backed the big-budget stage show and we are still hoping it will eventually make it down to Australia.
