Asian people, I just can't relate to you.
I don't know if it's me or if it's your culture.
The ones at work I admire and I'm very sympathetic when they struggle with English. English and Chinese are so different, and I applaud bilingual Asians.
But as a rule, I don't get their lack of humor, ass-kissing ways, and boringness. And the food they bring for lunch stinks. They're not very helpful, either, even to help you dislodge paper from the copy machine.
- I can't either, OP.
You%27re%20not%20alone
- I meant to add: especially after reading about the dietary habits of Chinese people in a separate thread. Vile people. No imagination, either; the sneaky shits steal all of their technological advances from the West.
How soon before this thread gets deleted?
- I can't read their facial expressions. They seem to have an autistic-lite kind of affect.
- Not my experience at all. Sometimes it takes longer to get to know someone more closely attached to another culture. One generation and they are pure Americans.
- [quote] One generation and they are pure Americans
Hurray for replacing one culture with one that worships Honey Boo Boo!
- Judging from all the white male/Asian female pairing, Asians - at least the women - don't seem to relate or like each other very much.
- Fuck you, OP. Fuck you, R1.
- [quote]Vile people... the sneaky shits
F&F the racist asshole at R2. How you imagine the outrage if you posted that blacks are vile people and sneaky shits? But somehow it's okay to say these things about Asians.
- Grammar waste of time
You come back when you doctor OP
Asian
- [R5]
It is called a melting pot, good or bad.
- Gee, I came to DL for amusement. But lately a lot of racist threads. (Or racial generalization, at least.)
Not funny anymore.
- No one on this thread has said anything racist, R11. You're just being overly sensitive.
- [quote]replacing one culture with one that worships Honey Boo Boo!
You don't think other cultures have their own "Honey Boo Boos?"
Maybe not in the form of a trailer-trash baby beauty queen, but every single last culture in this planet has predilections bred out of bad taste and plain ignorance which make their sophisticates cringe.
Xuxa
- Actually R12, believe it or fucking not some things are racist. Its not up for you to decide who is or isn't overly sensitive, if you don't want to be accused of being a racist cunt then say racist things. That's how it goes. No one has to tolerate it or suck it up.
- R2 isn't racist?!? I would like to see what you think is racist, R12. Jews are vile people. Mexicans are vile people.
- Do you by chance speak mandarin? Most of my Asian friends are bilingual.
anonymous
- I don't get the whole worship of white guys that gay Asian men do. A friend wanted to bring me to an Asian bar one time and boy was that an experience.
It was like hottest man alive walked into the room. They were pushing and shoving each other to get to talk to me. Buying me drinks, groping me. And I am just an average looking white guy. 5' 8" and for the first time in my life I could see over the crowd.
Now I know what celebrities feel like. I didn't go back. The attention was unwanted and annoying.
- But Jews ARE greedy and Mexicans ARE dirty.
Lisa%20Lampanelli
- [quote]5' 8" and for the first time in my life I could see over the crowd.
You tipped your hand with this. Asians come in varying sizes. There was no way everyone was THAT short for a 5'8" guy to see over the crowd unless everyone was 5'2". Not that your story was believable in the first place. But I get it, you need stereotypes to tell a good story.
- Gaysians are just as racist.
Every gay couple I see with an Asian is always Asian and White. Asian and White. Asian and White. You almost never see Asian with Asian. Or even more rare, Asian with black.
Oh and dont give me the line opposites attract. Why are there not a ton of Asian and Black couples then. or Asian and Mexican.
- Oh please, there are a TON of asian couples, that's the majority.
- The problem with Asians is, they dont want to blend into the culture like others did like Italian, Irish, German and Jews. They are very ethnocentric. So when they come here the stay in their little towns.
It takes like 3 generations until that kid finally acts like an American. Most other cultures it's just one.
- Not to mention R17 is a liar or greatly exaggerating about being groped and mobbed like a celebrity. I go Asian clubs like Dragon and GameBoi and this does NOT happen when white guys come in. In fact, white guys come in frequently; it's not a big deal at all.
- R20, I see tons of Asian and Black couples in SF. And Asian and Mexican couples in LA. You don't know what you're talking about.
- I was going to say the same thing R24, I'm in California too, and ready the crazy batshit assumptions people post on this site make me grateful i'm not from some racist southern state or the midwest. Did someone really say asians don't date other asians. Crazy.
- *reading the batshit crazy assumptions
R25
- White man not all that.
Ching%20Chong
- Actually R19, it is a true story and while there are exceptions, no one can deny that Asian men are generally shorter then American men.
The facts don't lie:
Americans men average about 5"-10"
Filipinos average 5'-3"
Scroll to the bottom.

- Not the gay ones R24 and R25.
Lets look at the most famous gay Asian couple in America right now. And what dose George Takei husband look like? Typical example.

Miss%2C%20Bangcock
- Americans do not "worship" Honey Boo Boo. She is popular as an object of ridicule. People watch that show like rubberneckers ogle a train wreck. It somehow makes them feel better about their own sorry lives.
Hmmm....now I just made Americans sound even worse. Oh well.
- Eewww, pink dick, disgusting.
Looks like someone coughed up a lung.

- Why does everyone always fall for the "Asian troll"? How many times does he come up with the "What's wrong with Asians" and you queers fall right in line? Talk about shooting fish in a barrel.

Coincidetia?

you got me there, Asian food in general is MUCH more interesting and delicious, at least to me, than western food.
I sort of see your point about everything else.
- r22 is so delusional he doesn't even have his broad stereotypes right. 3 generations, try about 3 years.
- We need more opportunities for the morons to post their messages in pigeon English. It's so amusing...and imaginative.
- Americans let them die:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. January 17, 2013 (AP)
An Arkansas 911 operator did not enter a call into a computer system that would have notified police and fire dispatchers of a mother and son trapped inside a vehicle in a pond, authorities said Wednesday. The woman died hours later, and her 5-year-old son was in critical condition Wednesday, police said.
The Little Rock operator who handled the call from 39-year-old Jinglei Yi has been placed on paid administrative leave while authorities try to figure out what happened. The operator has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
Yi called 911 about 8 a.m. Monday after her vehicle hit a patch of ice, went over a curb and ended up in the pond, Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said. A county dispatcher transferred the call to the 911 operator, who spoke with Yi briefly before hanging up and contacting an ambulance service.
An ambulance was dispatched a few minutes later to the west Little Rock pond, but police officers and firefighters weren't dispatched until about a half-hour later — after the ambulance service called to verify that they were en route.

- R17's story sounded quite believable to me. I'm not sure why you all are in such a tizzy over it. It's not like he spoke of himself in hyper-superlative terms.
I lived in Tokyo for a year and can attest to the "I feel like a celebrity" feeling, so I don't think he was going overboard. I'm pretty handsome, 6'3" and the Japanese guys would be all over me in the bars (which around 2002 was a very small gay ghetto. One bar called "Advocates" was practically the size of a large bathroom.) I'm not attracted to Asian men, so it was a year of a lot of masturbation with the occasional white guy I'd find (or military in Roppongi). Asian men have a fetish for white men, it's a verified fact.
- [quote]Asian men have a fetish for white men, it's a verified fact.
But it is a sick fetish, and can turn on a dime. I've posted this before but my Dad fought against the Japanese and had great respect for them except for one thing:
They got off on shooting the blond boys in the head.
He never forgot or forgave them for that.
- This link says it all.

- I feel the same way towards Hispanics.
- I don't know if you pathetic racists can read my expressionless face or understand my affect, but I hope you die in a grease fire.
- Yes, R8. But let's for a moment talk about stereotypes and the power of anecdote, shall we?
I have worked closely with nine Chinese - four from Taiwan.
Taiwanese? No issues, except the Chinese focus on status and hierarchy. Good workers, fun to be with, honest and kind.
Mainland? Dishonest, lazy, passive-aggressive, rude, condescending and false-faced. Incompetent. Non-entitities. All but one, and he was borderline and had table manners that made American white trash look like the Royal Family. Meaning no cultural sensitivity to surroundings and norms.
So what does this prove? Nothing. Except personal experience trumps your squealing every time. You cannot overwhelm experience with blithe screeches about fairness. People judge first by xenophobia (or the opposite - a bias towards the unfamiliar) and second by personal anecdotal experience. After all, if 1 billion Chinese are wonderful and I don't get to meet them, wouldn't I go with "Larry" who tried to blame me for his non-performance?
And, no. There's no reason to worsen things by using awful adjectives that are inhumane. But I'll point out examples for every one I used.
Ultimately, none of us are going to get away from the fact that China itself is a damaged, unhappy, materialistic, authoritarian, controlling nation and that its people will reflect the unhealthy society in which they live.
We do here in America, after all.
- R22, maybe if people don't constantly remind them that they're different, maybe they would integrate sooner.
- I loathe Asian people -- in Asia, that is. Their lack of empathy, the way they treat animals, etc.
But Asians brought up in other societies are no different than anyone else in that society. Makes me think that if I'd been brought up in Asia, I'd be like them, and if they were brought up as I was, well...etc...
Nature. Nurture.
- This thread is more than a little disturbing, but I am interested in this supposed Asian worship of white men, especially reading that other thread about the Asian guy asking for advice on how to attract white guys.
- Yes R33 and R34...it is a well known older BLACK woman troll from other gossip sites who has it in for Asians. It's her calling card.
- The racist eldergays are going to ruin this place.
- don't worry op, the feeling's mutual.
- I was for someone to show up and blame all the white-Asian strife on -- one Black woman! Started all the threads, made all the posts. Talk about the politics of misdirection . . .
- R23, the guy said he was average looking. If it doesn't happen to you, it because you are Fugly.
- Racist cunt!
- Allways looking absent, expressionless. Those slanty eyed yellow bastards seem to suffer from congenital assburguers.
- Sorry R45, every culture gets reminded they are different when they come here. Asians think they are special, above Americans so to speak.
Just here to make money, not here to become an a American like the Irish or the Italians did when they came here.
I live in Los Angels. Trust me we have the most Asians in the US. We have a China Town, Little Tokyo, Korea Town, and even a Little Saigon.
No other immigrant culture has 5 ethnic versions of their homeland in one city.
In New York, I hear Little Italy is almost gone because they integrated into society. I don't see that happening with Asians in LA.
- Don't get me started on bad smelling Asian food. Ever heard of Stinky Tofu?
http://www.lamag.com/lafood/digestblog/2013/01/02/smells-like-teen-sweat-socks-stinky-tofu-at-yami-teahouse
- Asian food is good for what it is. But lets face it, there are not a plethora of Asian Chefs on The Food Network. They tried, but no one wants to each that shit unless you grew up with it.
None of the "mother sauces" that are considered the base to almost all gourmet cuisine come from Asia.
And can someone please explain to me why Asian in Asia don't like cheese? They have cows you know.
- "Asian people, I just can't relate to you.
I don't know if it's me or if it's your culture."
You mean one disgruntled queen vs 1/3 of the planet?
Gee, I'd say it's them, not you. Obviously.
- I have to agree with R44. The table manners of the mainland colleague. People often forget China is rife with peasants. Working peasants.
- Let's have a similar thread about black people with equivalent statements.
Oh that's right, it wouldn't exist after 2 minutes.
- R55 Irony of all ironies,Little Italy in Manhattan has become a Chinese enclave. I've dealt with Japanese quite a bit and like them. They are very different from other Asians. Chinese on the other hand become more pleasant the more Americanized they are.R44 Hit the nail on the head with Mainland Chinese. They can be insufferable at times. Talk about making white trash look classy!
I saw this report on anchor babies being born in the US and it focused on Chinese getting visas and traveling here(specifically the LA area) to just have their kids born in the US.Supposedly they do this so that in the future they can return with the baby being an American citizen. BTW this wasn't on the Faux News Network....
- R55, most of the people (if not everyone) who lives in ethnic enclaves tend to be recent immigrants who lack enough English knowledge to properly integrate in mainstream society. Their children, who were born or raised in the US and are exposed to white American culture are more likely to integrate in mainstream society, just like the children of those immigrants from Europe several generations ago.
The reason why Little Italy or other European enclaves are dying is because there is not enough recent immigrants from those countries coming over here to sustain those communities. In Toronto and Montreal, there are actually European ethnic enclaves still thriving.
Besides, people will always want to hang out with those they are comfortable with and can relate to (hence, the thread). White expats in Tokyo and Hong Kong (and other places) only hang out within themselves. Very few try to learn the language. It's not even based on race even. Some British parents in Spain would rather send their kids to a British school than the local schools. Same goes for the French in London. And the kids grow up not being fluent in the local language.
I have to admit, Datalounge are a funny bunch. I have read comments from African-American posters before about Asian-Americans disregarding their heritage and becoming "white-washed", and yet here we are, people complaining that they aren't integrating enough.
It's like Asians are the Jews of the 21st Century -- only seen as interested in making money, seen as not integrating into mainstream society, and no matter how "white-washed" they become, they will never be considered a part of society.
- Lots of foreigners do that R62. I worked with a guy from Mexico who came from a wealthy family. The mother came to America (on a plane) to have her child born with American citizenship.
It is illegal for Americans to have a dual citizenship, but its not in other countries so he kept both. People working the system.
- Out of all the Asians in LA, Koreans are the worst. The men especially. Rude, unfriendly, quiet anger, always looking to break the rules as long as they can get away with it. Mean spurted, always out for themselves.
During the LA riots, they were the only ones that got on top of their shop roofs and started picking off black guys with their own illegal guns. Most people just let the police handle it.
Didn't happen in Little Tokyo, East LA or any other ethnic area. Just Korea Town.
- [quote]None of the "mother sauces" that are considered the base to almost all gourmet cuisine come from Asia.
Uhh R57... is it because the "mother sauces" you speak of is a FRENCH concept???
Moron.
- The cops left the Koreans to fend for themselves, the blacks were torching businesses all over that neighborhood, so the Koreans stood up for themselves.
Only then did the cops return -- to scared to face the blacks, they had no problem busting the Koreans for defending themselves.
- R57, Moron, one of the Mother Sauces is Tomato Sauce, Italian. Moron says what?
- The cops didn't let Koreans fend for themselves, they left everyone to fend for them self. You actually proved my point. The Japanese didn't get on their roofs and pick off people. The Chinese didn't get on their roofs and pick off people.
Only the the Koreans, because like I said, mean to the core. And racist too, just gave them the excuse to shoot black people. Not to mention law-less. It is not legal to pic off people in the street, you are supposed to wait until they try to enter your space.
Thanks for proving my point.
- I feel the same way about white people.
- The blacks weren't targeting the Japanese and Chinese -- there was a lot of animosity between the blacks and the Koreans at the time of the riots.
- Not true R57, Hollandaise Sauce was originally from Holland. Then the French took it.
- The reason Asian food dose not have a Mother sauce is because most of their sauces are made with tons of sugar, salt, caramel coloring and stinky rotten fish.
- So is Margaret Cho some kind of huge rebel against her culture?
- OP, who can you not relate to? You mention Asians in the thread title, but it looks like your issue is really with the Chinese. Asians are comprised of many nationalities and distinct cultures -- distinct even within their own borders. So when you say "your culture," which culture do you mean?
- R63 Americans can and do have dual citizenship with other nations.
- Same here, r17. A gay male Asian friend of mine brought me to that gay Asian bar somewhere in Midtown (can't remember the name) a while back. I'm not unattractive, but hardly model material. I am, however, thin and have blue eyes. The Asian gays in that bar were all over me like flies on shit. It was a weird experience. I never get that kind of attention anywhere else. And no, I didn't go home with anyone. I was pretty taken aback by all the attention and only stayed for a little while.
- I love R14!
- [quote]The reason why Little Italy or other European enclaves are dying is because there is not enough recent immigrants from those countries coming over here to sustain those communities.
With universal health care, five or more weeks paid vacation, and a living wage in their own countries why the fuck would any Europeans want to emigrate to the US unless they were already wealthy?

- You guys are wrong, not all migrant cultures act the same. The fist generation of Iris, Italians ect WANTED to be American. They learned the language, history the laws, the culture. They took great pride in becoming American.
Not all, but most of the Asians that come here, do not show that same enthusiasm. In LA for example there are whole strip malls where everything is in another language. I don't mean bilingual, I mean there home language. Are they catering to their customer? Sure, are they trying to bring in non Asians? No.
So yes, after several generations, their kids will be totally American, but only through attrition, not by and conscious desire as the first gen immigrant that first came here.
They look down on American culture, not up to it.
- I have noticed that attitude R89. This lady I used to have to work with always asked: Why do you do it that way? In my country we do it this way. Much smarter then American. You Americans do this wrong and that wrong.
OK, well because we are not in your country?
- Shouldn't we add this thread to the one on white privilege?
- OP and R44 make some valid, realistic points.
For all of you screaming RACIST!!, just go do business in China for a while, and you'll see it all firsthand.
As for racist... whew! It's an art-form in China.
R55
[quote] We have a China Town, Little Tokyo, Korea Town, and even a Little Saigon. No other immigrant culture has 5 ethnic versions of their homeland in one city.
This is quite ignorant. China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam while all obviously Asian are not only very distinct in language but in culture as well. One thing all Asian cultures seem to have in common though is their loathing of the mainland Chinese... for reasons already stated here.
- Earlier immigrant groups came during times when complete assimilation was the intellectual fad - the "melting pot." That's no longer true. More recent immigrant groups reap the rewards/suffer the consequences of the modern intellectual fad of "diversity."
- Where the hell is Chung Ho?
- What about those Asians that act like they're white and SOUND exactly like they're white? Does anyone have a problem with them?
- No. We're not shallow like you, R 95.
- I'm black, and I don't judge by color but there was a modest white guy who I thought was kind of hot today. A little chubby, which means he'd take bbc better.
- R97 = Asian to veer the discussion away from Asian talk
- I've been working for the same insurance company for almost 15 years, and in that time I've worked with or known at least a couple of hundred Asian people. Every last one of them was partnered or married to another Asian. Every last one.
- Statistically for decades, Asians usually marry white Americans. Asian-Americans are the largest ethnic group in the US who marry outside of their race too.
In Asia, bleaching cream is very popular and to have surgery on their eyes for "western" eyes as well. The surgery is also done in the US is very popular. On military bases the eye surgery is routine for Asian spouses.
Look at the Manga characters, all round eyes. Most Asians are obsessed with the Caucasian culture. This is why "Tiger" moms have found a way for their kids to be smarter in school to compete against Caucasian students.
Many American men who can't find dates in the US go where else to find some one? Asia.
Now China has what is known as "baby tourism" where they send women to the US to have their babies to be American citizens then they fly back home. This is hugely popular now.
The Ivy leagues accept a lot of Asian students. However, many of them pay big bucks for someone to take their SATs/ACTs and write their essys. Some Asians blew the whistle on this practice. However, the Ivies don't care as long as they get the cash. One family is suing a guy for over $1 million because they say he guaranteed them an Ivy league spot. It is a BIG business to get their kids in the best schools in America.
- Through work, I know five women from Taiwan who came here to California to have their babies. I'm told it's common occurence for them to do this. There are houses in L.A. set up just to cater to this practice. Families will have all their children born in Taiwan, except they all will chose one child that they fly over here to have. There are large numbers of anchor babies being born here. It's their way of invasion.
- Don't worry OP I'm sure the feeling is mutual.
- I have had the most racist experiences when I interacted with Koreans, Mexicans and Filipinos. However, I've had the most wonderful interactions with other Mexicans and other Filipinos. Almost never with Koreans. The Korean males, especially, were rude and racist. But it would mean more, if I thought they were attractive; since they don't attract me, I let it slide. I don't hate them, I just don't have anything to do with them.
A multi-racial american.
- You beat me to it R100. I was going to mention the eyelid surgery thing. That started I think around WWII with all the War Brides being brought back by white Americans. Weird that it is still going on.
- RACIST RACIST RACIST YOUR ALL RACIST. GO FUCK
- I had a Chinese teacher in college who used to call us students "round eyes" "you round eyes don't know this" WTF, I had to ask another student what that was about.
American born Chinese, he took his long awaited trip to his homeland once semester. Bitch slapped right in the face. He could not believe how poor China was. How dirty everything was. How uneducated. The "charming little villages" use the same small pond they shat in to get their drinking water.
I think he had an epiphany, he was more American then Chinese. But he would never admit it.
- Out of all the Asian cultures, I think Japanese are the easiest to get along with. They are like the Americans of the region. They have a highly developed society the other lack. They tend to be very polite, and respectful. Good with at least trying to adjust to local customs. Appreciate art, science and knowledge, not just money.
- R107, I would think the Filipinos would be the easiest since their native country used to be an American colony and they speak English right off the boat. And they worship western culture and acting like an American is seen as a status symbol. And of course, they are more open to dating people outside of their race. Hell, some parents even encourage that they marry outside of their own race.
- Asians have NO respect for the ocean or creatures that live in the sea. They consider it their shopping market with unlimited supply.
They slaughter close to 800 wales by the every year! This, under the loophole of "research".
They stab Dolphins to death in mass hunts first the parents, then the kids turning the water blood red.
They cut fins off of sharks just to make soup an throw the rest of the shark overboard to die a slow death.
This is not racism, this is fact.

- You are all jealous because we are so much fucking smarter than you assholes. I don't give a fuck if you can relate to me or not. I don't need you in my life.
- Gay Filipinos are white flys of the bunch.
Always buzzing around some white guy as a group, giggling like little girls. If they just had funny costumes with ginger hair, you would swear you are in Munchkin land.
- I never realized so many of my gay brothers and sisters were such racist assholes. I am sick. I am Asian and have always gotten along with every one, no matter what color they are. You all make me vomit.
Lee
- Not jealous R110. Spoken like a true Asian, mean, rude, arrogant and self centered to the core. You own this thread.
- R112, yet another Asian Tool.
- I always read about how different East Asian ethnic groups are. I don't think so. There is slight variation between them but largely they are the same. That entire region was influenced by China largely and they are extremely close genetically compared to other racial groups. The male haplogroup O, which is the predominant East Asian haplogroup, accounts for 1 out of 4 males on earth. What I think people are picking up on are the styles of government and the length and strength of European influence. Japan adopted the British style of government, China - Russian communism, South Korea - American Republicanism etc. The way these populations behave in these systems of government created in Europe has biased how people have viewed them. I think people would mention how similar they are if they kept the systems of government they had before adopting European SOGs. Western European influence on Japan has been the strongest while Eastern European influence has been the strongest on North Korea and China.
Extreme race-changing plastic surgery is very common among East Asians. They want to look white. It's fiercely denied yet plain to see. Eyelid surgery is the most common. There are about 5-6 degrees the eyelids are "opened up." Practically every East Asian female star of the last 20 years has had this surgery. Surgery to create a straight nose instead of their natural bell shape is likely the second most common. East Asians also shave down their cheeks bones (yes, it's possible) and put in chin implants. Some will even have their jaw bones broken then reset to give a narrower appearance.
- No R113. You people are making like all Asians are the same. You probably think all black people sit on their ass and collect welfare, steal and have out of wedlock babies. Blacks think whites all live in trailer houses and fuck their own kids, brothers and sisters. It has been proven many times that Asians are smarter than you. Facts are facts. You are jealous. Don't tell me you are not. You people started this racist shit thread. I am not the mean arrogant one. You are. Plus you are a RACIST.
- If you were so smart R110, how come your culture is not a super power like the US? We outsmarted you and whipped your ass in the last world war. Japan doesn't even have a military and guess who wrote their constitute after they surrender? We did.
Who invented the Internet? Computers, iPhones, landed a car size mobile lab on Mars? American, that is who.
Being good at stealing ideas or making cheap knock offs dose not an intellect make.

Kimchi Maybe?
- In LA we have what people call Ricers. Basically, Asian males who mod their cars like the Mexican used to do in the 70s. Only not as cool or original.
Usually big trunk fins, low to the ground, Asian cars. Always with really big muffler. The car name is usually de-badged (removed) from the back with just the logo.

R76, that is the most honest analogy I've heard in a very long time. Those men chasing you truly were like flies, and you truly are like shit.
Brilliant.
Non%20Asian%20who%20hates%20shit.
- I had a beautiful experience with a Korean, middle-aged woman. I experienced so much racism from Korean males, that I thought all Koreans were racists. The story: I had served faithfully at a messenger job in San Francisco and was hoping to make this my career. But another company took over ours, and immediately the shit hit the fan. The new supervisors started to harrass us, employees, and took away many of our privileges. Many workers left. I stayed.
But they found a way to let me go. They demoted me to recruit status despite 5 yrs. of highly favorable evals from those I served.
I couldn't collect unemployment because I quit. Enter the Korean woman. She asked about my history, and heard my story. She, working for EDD, was outraged by what happened to me. She strongly urged me to contest the denial of unemployment benefits. After a number of maneuvers designed to demean my job performance from the new company, we were nevertheless adjudged to be in the right.

- I had a beautiful experience with a Black, middle-aged woman. I experienced so much violence from Black males, that I thought all Blacks were violent but this woman showed me there are exceptions. The story: I had served faithfully at a messenger job in San Francisco and was hoping to make this my career. But another company took over ours, and immediately the shit hit the fan. - [quote]What about those Asians that act like they're white and SOUND exactly like they're white? Does anyone have a problem with them?
Those are the absolute worst. It's so jarring to see something sooo Asian sound sooo white. It's unsettling and disturbing quite frankly. That's why I hate people like Lucy Liu and Sandra Oh. Why do they pretend to be something they're not? Why not just speak with an accent or something and make everyone feel more comfortable?
- [quote]Statistically for decades, Asians usually marry white Americans
That is not true at all. Even in the US, most Asians marry other Asians. You're just making shit up and talking out of your ass. Just because you see a lot of Asian/white couples doesn't mean they statistically for decades usually marry white.
- [quote][R17]'s story sounded quite believable to me. I'm not sure why you all are in such a tizzy over it. I lived in Tokyo for a year and can attest to the "I feel like a celebrity" feeling, so I don't think he was going overboard.
Yes, it's believable in Tokyo because you're the only white person there. If you went to Africa and was the only white person, it would be the same thing. But R17 seems to imply he was in America so it's not that big of a surprise to see a white person.
R17, what was the name of the Asian bar you went to? What was the city and state?
- Let's for a moment talk about stereotypes and the power of anecdote, shall we?
I have worked closely with nine Blacks - four from Oakland.
Oakland Blacks? No issues, except they focus on drugs and violence. Good workers, fun to be with, honest and kind.
Detroit Blacks? Dishonest, lazy, passive-aggressive, rude, condescending and false-faced. Incompetent. Non-entitities. All but one, and he was borderline and had table manners that made white trash look like the Royal Family.
After all, if 12 million blacks are wonderful and I don't get to meet them, wouldn't I go with "Larry" who tried to carjack me?
And, no. There's no reason to worsen things by using awful adjectives that are inhumane. But I'll point out examples for every one I used.
Ultimately, none of us are going to get away from the fact that black people are a damaged, unhappy, materialistic, authoritarian, controlling race and that its people will reflect the unhealthy society in which they live.
- A white friend of mine at NYU has two Asian friends who act SO white it almost takes me aback when I'm around them. The female friend is an Elle Woods wannabe and the guy sounds like Aaron Rodgers. They want to be white so badly it's like they're ashamed of their heritage.
- I know, right, R132? Why don't they just act more Chinky and speak with accents? It would make me more comfortable and not take me aback so much.
- Pity the white men -- standing by impotently while losing their colonial privileges. No wonder they're so bitter.
