I was arguing on both threads from the *point of view* of what Anderson Cooper (and other gay celebrities like Jodie Foster who come out late) say - that is, that they were already 'basically out' because their friends and colleagues at work knew and that just because it hadn't been 'officially confirmed' they were essentially 90% out etc.
