CHICAGO — A shipment of 17 human heads was discovered at O’Hare International Airport on Monday.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, the specimens, still covered with skin, were taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Authorities said no foul play was suspected, according to the newspaper.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection are investigating.
R22 Count me as another one glad to get away from that shithole. Mean ass people, crime-ridden, and rundown.
Can we talk about rotting infrastructure, traffic grid lock, and horrible weather too.
Wow, only insane DL posters could make this about the pros and cons of Chicago as a city. Who CARES if you like or don't like it? Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one.

And if you go to Steamworks on a Friday night, you can see all those assholes lined up like Christmas lights, waiting in vain for the three remaining tops in Chicago to give them a ride!

Chicago...city of big shoulders...but no head.
My name is Luka, I live on the second floor. I live upstairs from you. Yes, I think you've seen me before.
I can't even get a dildo through security, yet they don't bat an eye at a box full of 17 human heads???
No kidding R52. Talk about burying the lede.
Momma had a baby and its HEAD popped off!
R19. Thank you--it's my hometown and I'm glad to see someone else defend it. I do wonder what 18's story is--he leaps on any opportunity to bad mouth it.
Im with R42, I was born and raised on the North Side. Live in Portland now. When I went back to see family over the holiday, the first thing I heard in OHare was some guy with one of those loud-mouth Chicago accents. Everyone there is just rude. Any sentimentality went right out the window, I'm never going back.
Wasn't this the plot of The Relic?
Is the Slipper Box still around?
Madrid is the Chicago of Spain.

So Madrid is a shithole? Yikes, I was considering visiting Madrid. Not now!
Did you 17 human heads weigh 136 pounds?
They had bed bugs on them too.
Omg, that's scary.
This thread is useless without pictures.
Is anyone else having trouble loading DL?
yes. can only access thread in my faves or the side bar.
Sorry to post this here, but DL has badly malfunctioned.
I can't see any new threads or any new posts to extant threads no matter what is tried. I wound up here by clicking on the left column of bold "featured" threads.
In the past, clicking on "Data Lounge" from my browser would open the DL site, current threads would "self populate" in the center, and current thread titles would appear underlined in the right-hand column. Now nothing will happen in either column.
I'm a former I.T. guy and none of my self-help efforts have worked. Have tried using the only "help" function that's available without results.
Does one have to be a paying member to access further help functions and/or obtain assistance from the DL webmaster?
Any help will be greatly appreciated; please reply in this thread.
Thanks in advance!
Going through DL withdrawal
Oh good. I thought I was in some kind of Datalounge ground hog HELL. THANK YOU R67.
I'm a paying member and I have the same problem, R69. I'm sure DL knows and is working on the problem since more people are having this issue.
Geez I thought I was the only one. Glad to see it is just not me.
As a paying member I can log in. But once you, it is like you haven't logging in at all. Just remains the same.
Yes you can try to add a post. But once you do and press submit, an error message comes up saying. Unable to create post.
I can add a post and I also just added a new thread about the outage. No problem. But the site is still down.
I've emailed the webbie, just in case.
What is the title of that thread R72? Maybe I can find it on google search.
What did you do during the outage? is the title and then: Some of us were talking on the 17 heads thread.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAA! It's a 3 day weekend. I bet this aint resolved before Wednesday.
Perhaps. I hope not. Or Tuesday, R75.
Same problem here. All I can see are my old thread that I had on threadwatcher. I thought maybe it was just me having the problem!
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
