Traffic in Los Angeles

Do wealthy people and celebrities endure the traffic? Or since they live in Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, etc. they never need to get on the freeway?

• If you are wealthy, you dont need to go to work every day like a regular shmo. Some have drivers, some do it them self. A lot stay at home in their multi-million dollar compounds and have everyone come to them. But they are just people, they drive around like most of us. Usually though, they want to be seen. I almost hit J-low in Beverly Hills coming out of The Ivy. Really expensive car. Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Burbank all next to each other so you are also right, they dont need to be on the freeway unless leaving town. It's also where all the best restaurants and shopping is so really anything you want is right there.

• If they are Halle Berry they do. Of course when they hit you, they don't stop to see if you are OK. They speed of because they are worried about their career. Then claim paparazzi did it.

• but the side streets in those areas are awful...the freeways are better sometimes.

• What about Malibu ? Is there a lot of traffic out there ?

• They avoid the freeways, OP. They'll take Laurel Canyon down to Fountain over to Doheney down to Little Santa Monica past the Beverly Hills court house and over to Rodeo. Or they'll go from Sunset to San Vincente down to Wilshire past Westwood to Beverly Glen. If they have to take a freeway it's just the PCH to and from Malibu.

• Fountain and Wilshire:..east and West. La Cieniga and Robertson...north and south.

• The real wealthy no longer live in LA -- they will just travel there for business, if they really have to, but few with real money do. I think the posher clubs downtown have rooms for them to stay, and if not, they visit places like Santa Barbara and have their meeting there. Real money doesn't have to meet unless they want to.
