What is America's relationship with China like?
I wikipedia-ing Titanic 3D's box office (a odd habit of mine) when I noticed that a staggering portion of the revenue for Titanic 3D came from China.
In addition, imo, I think China and America are allies. Sentiments?
- Are you drunk, OP?
- All wars are culture wars.
- The American power structure believes China is our ally.
China believes we are their enemy and they have taken radical steps to gain military superiority, which have not even caused a reaction in the U.S. military.
- China is absolutely economically linked with the United States. As such, our economy tanks and theirs tanks right with us.

- OP, My Chinese friends so love American movies that the government restricts the number of non-Chinese flicks shown in theaters. Anything by Ang Lee takes precedence, no matter what the subject matter. Of course that doesn't stop Chinese from downloading and watching Western movies online. Since Chinese also love new technology, it's sensible that they would appreciate Titanic 3-D.
In addition China is going through a buyers' paradise as Western products become available.
