Have you ever had an experience with a cult?

The closest I ever got was the one time I went to a church as a teenager. They locked the doors as soon as everyone got in. All they did was give a boring and ludicrous sermon about rock music being evil. I zipped up my hoodie over my band t-shirt, allowed a girl to hold my hand and pray for me, and then I never went back. Later on, I heard they instructed their members not to associate with anyone outside the church.
