She should stick with a variation of the smashing red number she wore that one time.
I beat Meryl was a Bette Midler line from The First Wives Club. Jennifer Lawrence makes fart jokes. She is a bit dim and very much a young and immature girl, as opposed to the nearly 40 and educated Jessica Chastain.
She's 22 years old.
I can't be the only one who would be happy if either Lawrence or Chastain wins the oscar. Loving one doesn't mean that you have to hate the other. Riva has the best performance, but Lawrence/Chastain would not be bad winners, not like Sandra Bullock or Helen Hunt.
Jennifer Lawrence has plenty of time to win an Oscar. I hope they give it to someone older.
Lord, she's only 22???
In that case, I hope she doesn't win. An Oscar would be too much too soon.
She looked stunning last night.
I seem to recall a slightly thinner/significantly older actress using that "I beat Meryl!" line in a movie. Who am I thinking of?
You have to admit she has a lot more flesh than most actresses her age. And those chipmunk cheeks! Slim she is not. I would call her big-boned. Big-boned and absurdly overrated.
She's got meat on her bones, true. Good for her!
I thought she had noticeably slimmed at the Oscars, but she's nothing compared to the rest of the ano skeleton Hollywood zombies.
You people are nuts. Her body is perfect.
Insane jealousy rots the brain, R20.
She's got a Marilyn Monroe type of figure, only a little taller and with more muscle.
I think her body is great too---for a 35 y/o. For someone 22 y/o---not so much. She's really going to be battling the bulge in a few years when those youthful hormones are no longer protecting her form getting fat. Also, her tits ARE saggy for someone so young and childless. They should be standing straight out.
How can you criticize Jennifer Lawrence when she supports her gays? You're being a real jerk, OP!
Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful and was wonderful in The Hunger Games.
She has got a perfect body shape. Not a stick insect, but not overweight either. And such a good actress at such a young age. She also doesn't take herself too seriously. What's not to love?
Finally saw her movie and was not impressed at all. Formulaic, corny, she's playing a Mean Girl type who loves to call men assholes (how do women get away with that and we're not allowed to call them cunts?). Hated the aesthetic of the film, the washed out dull cinematography, the cliched overused hand-held camera, David O. Russell has absolutely no style.
It was great though not Oscar-worthy.
Shes very thin! You people either crazy, blind, or drunk with Hollywood skeleton Koolaid.
R27 has never seen SLP. Your description of her character couldn't be more inaccurate.
I'm not a fan of her "I'm-so-fat-say-I'm-not" comments. I agree with R23. Not fat, but well-built. She has the same body Rosemary Clooney had at her age. I imagine once she has children she'll be overweight forever more.

Make what you want of the link below. I don't agree with some people's mode of thinking - that if a celebrity makes a few pro-gay comments, they're instantly above criticism. Not that I defend closet cases either. She's a mediocre actress and plain in appearance.
Very slender. I suspect those saying otherwise are jealous, hate women, have a distorted view of the female body or are just trying to stir people up.

As I posted on the other Jennifer Lawrence thread, people can have critical opinions without being jealous. The people who declare anyone with a critical opinion towards a celebrity as simply "jealous" are trite.
R32, she has gained at least 20 lbs since that pic was taken in August 2012.
Sure people CAN have critical opinions without being jealous but in this case it's jealousy or one of the other things I listed that you didn't bother to quote, R34.
[quote][R32], she has gained at least 20 lbs since that pic was taken in August 2012.
Um...no. If anything she has lost weight.
I understand being critical, but what's the point if its based on a lie? There must be some other agenda there.

I didn't bother to quote them because I wasn't making a point regarding them. I agree that she isn't fat. I find the concept that anyone who dares make a less than flattering suggestion about a celebrity, lives in their parent's basement and weighs three hundred pounds rather tiresome at this point. I'm not jealous of this unremarkable celebrity.
I smack dat ho skinny
R23 - Her boobs are not sagging.
"Also, her tits ARE saggy for someone so young and childless. They should be standing straight out."
Just so you know, the only boobs that stand straight out are either tiny or fake.
Here's a new picture of her in nothing but paint and sheet prosthetics.

Based on what they post here it seems a lot of gay men know very little about female anatomy but that doesn't stop them from acting like they do. Her breasts look pretty perky to me. It's disturbing that men in general seem to now actually prefer a fake breast to a real one.
She's not fat, but that publicity photo has been retouched.
And it's the first retouched publicity photo EVER!!
The photo has clearly not been retouched. Idiot.
Another clueless frau @ R45 who ASSumes she's the ONLY woman here.
She looked downright frumpy, and yes, saggy, in SLPB. She has to have a good 20-30 lbs on her in that movie than in some of the pics posted here. That's why people think she's fat.
Here's a pic of her in that revealing dance leotard:
[quote]And it's the first retouched publicity photo EVER!!
Of course, that's my point any publicity picture like that will have been retouched.
[quote]The photo has clearly not been retouched. Idiot.
No. A near nude publicity release photograph will of course have been retouched. You're incredibly naive if you think otherwise.
There's no point judging something from an approve publicity release photo. Take a look at some candids of her instead, like in R51's link.
