What is your "personal nightmare"?

• A charley horse that doesn't go away when I stand up.

• I have a few. Hiking and getting attacked by a mountain lion. Getting pulled out to sea by a sleeper wave. Car breaking down out in the middle of nowhere. Things like losing loved ones are too terrible to even think about.

• Now it basically has to do with anything involving Mount Everest. Yikes. Probably being stuck at the bottleneck with my oxygen running out.

• Losing my parents. A collapse of civilization. Ever contracting or developing an incurable illness.

• My pants split to indecency and I have no money for a cab.

• No job, no health care, no family, and living in the 'greatest' country in the world. It's all a lie.

• President Mitt Romney

• I watched a foreign film the other night called "The Double Hour" and it had a scene where a guy is on a date with a woman and offers her a drink out of a flask in the car, which paralyzes her. Then he drags her out into a field, digs a deep hole and starts burying her alive. She's totally aware but can't move a muscle. That's mine.

• R8's is pretty close to mine. I used to have nightmares about being in a situation and needing to scream and not being able to make a sound.

• DL becoming a town where we are all suddenly transported to and can never leave.

• Shitting my pants and then having to take public transportation. Eating pussy. Being in a plane that is going down, knowing that those will be my last few moments in life. I used to FREAK myself out by reading the transcripts of one of the 9/11 flight attendants as she was on the phone describing to an operations specialist what she was witnessing as they were hurtling towards the Twin Towers: "I see the water. I see the buildings. I see buildings." Oh, my God." UGH!!!!! ((((SHUDDER)))))

• Yeah, R8 pretty much owns this thread. That scenario is terrifying beyond words.

• Being attacked by a shark. The movie Jaws scarred me for life.

• Becoming physically unable to care for myself and completely aware of it. Either by natural aging or by some disease.

• Someone hammering very thin nails into one of my testicles. Someone sitting on a chair when my little toe is wedged under the leg. Removing a pot of boiling water from the stove while on roller skates. Suddenly waking up in the middle of the night with no mouth or nose, just a blank smooth area where they used to be. Obviously, I suffocate. Being locked into a Brazen Bull and dying that way. Why on Earth do I think of these things? It's awful.
