Footage of Russian man dying bizarre death in an inflatable ball that rolls down a mountain slope

One of them broke his neck and died on the way to the hospital; one survived (incredibly) with lacerations. This is the weirdest way to die I could imagine.

• People aren't nearly as safety conscious as they should be. Or, are people just more stupid?

• I don't know if they're any dumber (Niagara Falls in a barrel, anyone?), but 20 years ago no one would have been standing there recording it for YouTube.

• On the show 1000 Ways to Die and incident like this is dramatized. Two criminals were looking to get away when they found a Zorb ball. They got in it and did not strap each other in. When the ball rolled down the hill they were hitting each other. Eventually they died.

• The Gawker article title led me to believe this happened in the Rocky Mountains. A Deadly Rocky Mountain Slope. I was all, "Where in the Rocky Mountains is Abkhazia? Is it some Harry Potter-themed resort?
