Before anyone else cuz like, they're better than the rest. Didn't we already pay their inflated salaries while they were "fighting for our freedom"?

• Their salaries were not inflated but their expenses were paid by the government so they were able to save it all. During the Vietnam era, vets were looked down upon as drug addicts and violent people (because they were) so when Vietnam ear privileged white men got into Congress they made veterans a special protected class of people. Today everybody seems to think that's the best way to handle them. I think they should struggle like everybody else and then maybe their anger would bubble up and force more meaningful change in Washington.
