How do you tell when someone has OCD

I have for the longest time suspected that I may have a mild case of OCD. How do you know for sure?

• Do you ever take your fifty cats to the vet?

• I don't associate cats at all with OCD. Cats and their toxoplasmosis are more of a schizophrenia thing.

• You either have OCD or you don't. You don't have mild versions of it.

• Do you put the letters in the correct order (CDO)? R5 - you can have differing levels of OCD. For some it is mild, for others their life becomes a living hell. It doesn't start off like that, it escalates, hence the differing levels. Most people with mild OCD can improve with treatment, less so for those with moderate or severe cases. OP - if you have any worries go and see your GP. It may be that all you need is some Prozac, but that needs to be determined by a doctor. There isn't any easy way of diagnoses without seeing a doctor. Good luck.
