Joker the Movie
If there was a movie that starred the Joker, as in the joker is the protagonist (not necessarily the good guy) wouldn't it be a box office success. Would you want to watch the movie?
- There was a Joker comic back in the 70s. Unfortunately, according to the Comics Code, "crime does not pay," and every issue had to end with the Joker back at Arkham.
Alfred Pennyworth
- There have been graphic novels that mostly starred the Joker (THE KILLING JOKE) or the Joker and other Batman villains (ARKHAM ASYLUM), and they did very well.
I doubt a Joker film would do as well as the Batman movies though. Preteens' parents will let them see a Batman movie, but probably wouldn't let them see a Joker-only movie.
- Aaron Taylor-Johnson would make a great Joker.
- Bum
- Brandon, please get your meds adjusted
- I think it would be a huge success.
Incorporate story bits from Mad Love, The Killing Joke, etc...
Joker would need his Harley.
- Someone like David Fincher could pull off a great Joker movie.
- It would be a huge hit. Heath Ledger would kill it.
- Heath Ledger's over-acted Joker would indeed kill a movie. Thank goodness that won't happen.
- Why won't it happen? I can see them having trouble getting financing though.
- Right r9? That was my first though. Thank goodness THAT joker won't be the one on screen.
- Ledger's Joker may be fun to watch, but it's impossible to build a film around him. Films aren't just about events, they're about how events change the characters.
How does an ADD nilhist change? How can a man who cares about nothing be affected by events? No, the Joker IS the event that other characters react to, he himself reacts to nothing.
Get help, OP.

In Chatroom, Aaron Taylor-Johnson looked so much like James Holmes.
