Was Heath Ledger bisexual?

Rumors has it that he's bisexual and used to hire rentboys. Can someone verify these rumors. Has anyone met him and confirm these rumors? I personally think he's straight since he actually looked quite uncomfortable in the gay scenes in Brokeback mountain.

• I always think it's terribly pointless and weird (forget disrespectful; I mean literally weird) when the sexualities of dead people are speculated upon...unless sexuality played a key role in the person's work or accomplishments...and these had better involve exceptionally significant contributions, not just playing a gay person.
