A 34-year-old man was shot and killed inside a Brooklyn diner early Sunday morning, police said.
According to the New York Post, the man, who police identified as Jason Lewis, of Brooklyn, was shot in the abdomen after arguing with another man inside the Country House Diner in Fort Greene.
Authorities responded to the scene and transported Lewis to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Post said it was not clear what sparked the argument. A suspect and a woman who were still in the diner when police arrived were taken into custody.
No, not my family, bitch at R1. It's a news story like any other - that's why NBC News is reporting it, dear.
And you do realize it's particularly relevant in the current climate over the debate on gun violence, yes?
Only in New York...
Clearly arguing with someone is a capital offense
This can't be true, it just could not happen. Handguns are illegal in NYC. Everybody knows that if guns are illegal, then people can't be killed with guns.
R5 = retarded NRA-acolyte
Of course this is relevant R1.
What's next? Should we be afraid to go to The Westway?
And where was Reese, Finch, Carter and Fusco? I thought the whole point of the machine was to prevent things like this?
I'm normally not particularly confrontational around here, but even I am not really getting the relevance here. Unfortunately, people get shot every day. Tragic, yes. But is reporting on every individual case, here, necessary?
I agree with R9. This shit has happened a lot for years. My condolences to everyone, but we get abundant coverage of these on TV and radio.
Not very relevant to DL. Sorry.

"Was" versus "Were" in the Liza = Jesus thread.
Probably tried to eat fries with a fork. That's what I call justifiable homicide.
" Nothing could be finer than a shooting in a diner in the mo-or-or-or-or-ning."
Yeah, bad call, OP.

It's just one case, not "every individual case".
New York City is the last place I would expect tto read about a copy cat killing. I'm speechless. Thank GOD for keyboards.
