Hugo Chavez 'only kept alive by life support' after cancer surgery.
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez is in an induced coma being kept alive by life support following complications during cancer surgery, it was claimed today.
Sources at the hospital in Cuba where he is being treated told a Spanish newspaper he was showing 'very weak' vital signs, adding that doctors could decide to switch off the machines 'at any moment'.
It's all bullshit. He's following the same script Castro has played for years: Start rumors about your imminent death and then reappear stronger than ever so that people will think you're invincible.
Bush-haters were all pro-Chavez. Now we hate him? Which is it?
BTW, where's the source?
Information given out says he's having serious lung problems. They're controlling access to media so the real story is hidden.
He called Dubya out when he left a fart at the microphone knowing Chavez was to follow.
Hated W which won him points among some, but was a terrible president of Venezuela. Did himself no favors by getting medical care in Cuba for political reasons. Farewell.
Sometimes I don't know how to feel about old Hugo. I see him with these famous people, selling cheap oil to the poor with the Kennedys. But then I'll read something negative and I don't get how I'm supposed to feel.

Maybe he went to Cuban doctors for medical reasons. Cuba has better doctors than you would find in Venezuela. It's probably one of the few good things about Cuba.
He made his military, especially the officers, go out and fix potholes in the roads, run free medical clinics, and man soup kitchens for the poor.
That earns him points in my book.
Except, Cuban health care doesn't seem to have helped him much, r9. Wonder why he didn't build up a decent health care system in Venezuala so cancer patients there don't have to go abroad, considering he's been president for so many years.
You mean, he used the army for free labour, r10?
"His" military could be the most corrupt in the world. His generals run the "cartel del sol" a drug cartel that ships drugs through Venezuela to Europe.
Also, he delayed medical treatment thinking witchcraft (santeria) could cure him.
The world will be a better place once this hate filled, war mongering narcissist ceases to exist
I still hate Bush and love Chavez but really, being president for 14 years...they need to move on. Another strong leader though, a person who will not be led astray by the extremely wealthy. As far as I know, Venezuala is in better shape then the USA.
Cuba does not have better doctors than Venezuela. He went there because the Castros control the media and the special hospital for rich communists. The rest of the Cubans have shit for medical service. I've seen them coming off the boats. Extremely poor dental and medical service. The Castros run a toilet economy. Most of their doctors are two year tech. school grads.
R13 is a stupid troll who needs to be shoved in a oven!
The fat headed bastard can't die soon enough for me. Pity he can't take Sean Penn with him.
The idea that Cuba has great medical care is a lie. I work with a guy who was a surgeon in Cuba. The stories he tells me are horrific. They had to share stethoscopes, re-use needles and rubber gloves. The hospitals are over crowded and falling down. MRI and CAT scan machines are unheard of. The one x-ray machine they had was 40 years old and constantly breaking down. His parents are still there and he sends his father aspirin for his heart because aside from the black market, aspirin is unavailable there.
Sean Penn probably gets a deal on cocaine from him.
What kind of cancwr? Is it spelled HIV? I heard that he liked to be taken from behind.
Ya gotta kinda like him for hating Bush as much as we do.
I'll bet Hugo Chavez's medical care has cost Cuba more than it spends on its own citizens health care in a calendar year. Shark cartilage for whatever ails them!
I hate these narcissistic "socialists" who are nothing more than power auto-fellators on the global stage. Chavez sold himself as the peasants' president playing on their naivete to gain votes. Nothing but a self-aggrandizing motherfucker in a military uniform.
Doesn't he go through this every few years or so?

"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
