Once and Again

I just started watching this on DVD and am only a few episodes in. I really like Sela Ward, and Billy Campbell's alright too. The plot is pretty slow so far, but I don't mind a character-driven story. Any thoughts on this show (without too many spoilers please)? Do they maintain the black and interview sequences for all three seasons? Does it just become like a modern day serious version of The Brady Bunch? Is it comparable to My So-Called Life?

• It was pretty good. Wasn't it done by the same people who did Thirtysomething? The last season dragged a bit. Campbell and Ward's characters could be a bit whiny...yes ERW was very good I agree.

I think her character had a lesbian relationship during the last season, or was that from the movie "Thirteen"? It's been so long since I watched the series that I don't remember it well.

• I remember liking the show when it aired, but it wasn't until the second season that I really fell in love with it. The kids were all great and Susannah Thompson was amazing as well.

• Julia Whelan is doing a Hallmark movie that airs in May. About time she fell back onto the face of the earth.

• Suzanna Thompson should have won an Emmy for her work on that show. Julia Whelan took time off to go to University. Nice to see her back on the screen.
