DL health care workers, how will Obamacare impact your job?

I'm graduating as a family NP in 2014, when much of the ACA will roll out. Do you think it will be good for patients? For you?

• I can quit my job now and live on the government's teat.

• OP- Move to Costa Rica, and offer a referral of 5% to doctors in the US that send you patients. You can open a practice there and offer valet service at a fraction of what they pay in the USA. Many docs are retiring due to the ACA, and with the Internet you could build a client list fast.

• 40 million more people with insurance. We're hiring.

• If you have 30 workers, you have to pay their benefits.

• I think once we get close enough the overlords will agree to Socialized medicine.
