The problem is the Datalounge software. I don't know why, but it refuses to recognize animated GIFs, or PNG files.
As demonstrated by simply renaming an animated GIF with the extension "JPG", this limitation is completely artificially imposed by the datalounge software.
They could fix it pretty quickly and easily if they actually wanted to... especially the issue with not properly displaying embedded PNG files.
Gifs would come in so handy around here, whether you wanted to "read" someone or just respond in a funny way.
I tried saving it as a JPEG on my desktop but once I upload it to Imageshack it turns it back into a GIF.
What's the trick?
Why was Federer laughing at the guy who won? That was rude.
Omg, that made me dizzy r10!
He wasn't laughing at the guy who won. Duh.
Okay, this is what you have to do:
1. Retitle your animated GIF with a JPG extension on your computer
2. Upload it to Tinypic
3. Tinypic will automatically rename it back to a GIF
4. Copy the direct link and place it in the address bar
5. Manually retype the GIF extension as JPEG
6. Copy the new address and paste it in Datalounge

Why would they bother? They ignore the 3 p.m. glitch that halts updating of threads and some days you can't get the site to update for hours. They obviously don't want to be bothered.
