What is the best style of clothing for a short and busty person?
I am going shopping with my sister today. She is short with an ample bosom. Petite and slender otherwise.
She wants my "advice". HELP ME fashionistas. God help me...?
- Poodle skirt and sweater.
- A burka
- No boxy jackets. OP, use your eyes. Have her try on what she likes and then use your taste to guide her on what looks good.
- Wrap dresses will create a longer line and highlight the chest in a tasteful way.
Suit jackets should have a lower stance, as the high stance tends to encase the bosom in a really matronly way.
More open collars are more flattering - no crewnecks or turtlenecks, but Vs and collars are generally okay.
Narrower trousers will make her feel taller.

- Is this your sister, OP?

- Short, tight and shiny.

Wrap dresses are notoriously difficult for busty women to wear. In order to prevent wardrobe malfunctions, a camisole is required. Invariably, one looks like a 1930s hooker.
The best style for a short busty woman is a dirndl, but unless you live in Austria or Bavaria, it probably isn't an option.
Narrow trousers will make her look top heavy and off balance. This is not to say she should wear wide trousers. Plain straight legged trousers are best. No cuffs.
- Agree with R4. I would also add monochromatic colors and definitely nothing belted.
- R4 is right. Also avoid any shirt with breast pockets. They never lie flat and always look lopsided.

- She's built like me OP. I wear very tailored clothing that skims my curves rather than too loose, which makes me looks 40 lbs. heavier or too tight. No pockets, ruffles or any other gewgaws around the boobs. I also dislike any button downs as they tend to gape open.
I'm 5' and have a 32FF bra size. I look good in short jackets, fitted jackets that stop at the waist. The important thing with women like us is to try everything on.
- muu-muu
- Earrings, caftans.
- Definitely make a beeline for the Petites section of any GOOD women's department store. Macy's is ok if that's all you can get to.
- Tell her to watch "The Big Bang Theory" and make copious notes of what Howard's wife, Bernadette, is wearing. That girl is short and way busty, but she always looks damned good.
- What kind of clothing are you looking for - casual, professional, party?
For dresses, look at the sort of thing Elizabeth Taylor wore when she was young. Fuller skirts, tiny waist, fitted bust without too much cleavage.

- Rhinestones

- Start with the right bra. Make sure she is wearing a properly fitted one. A good minimizer bra will shape and hold her in and make her clothes fit better.
- Lots and lots of deeply contrasting, big, thick, horizontal stripes.
- Tell her to commit seppuku.
At least the final act of her life will be beautiful even if she never could be.
Namaste.

- Oh Gwynnie, you're so droll, lol...
Go for a plunging neckline, a layered tunic top, flawless manicure, and expensive accessories.
- Something off-the-shoulder with a plunging neckline paired with the skimpiest daisy Dukes.
