Give us better gun-control laws. AND better mental health laws
OP = sociopath
I get it, OP, and I love you.
What is there to get? The OP is an asshole who thinks murder is funny. Now is not the time to make jokes.
She looks and sounds like an awesome, smart person who loved what they were doing and was well respected. So incredibly sad. OP you're stupid, btw.
Did I stumble upon a humorless MichFest board?
[quote]She looks and sounds like an awesome, smart person who loved what they were doing and was well respected
Agreed. An awesome, smart person who loved what she was doing and was in desperate need of a stylist.
OP, what if this had happened to your mother? Would you think it was so funny then? Hilarious, right?
R9 and others?? If you are new to the DL:
THIS IS HOW WE MOURN.
Seriously (JulieMoore). We mourn with bad humor and fashion jokes. It doesn't mean we don't feel pain or sadness for the victims. We come to the DL for a little levity.
THANK YOU r10. I have been teary and upset all day and once in awhile some DL wag will post something horrible that makes me chuckle. It helps. Maybe doesn't help most people, but it helps me.
R6, I doubt anyone was going to say anything bad about her to the press.
But if she had let a kid bring peanutbutter to school 2 weeks ago, she'd have been nailed to a cross by the mommybloggers.
It would be fine if it were Easter Sunday.
OP = Beverly Sutphin
These women who saved the kids showed that women can be brave and heroic and clear headed and should be allowed in combat if they so chose.
OP - Are you related to the guy who murdered all those kids and adults?
The principal apparently died rushing at the murderer, trying to stop him from killing anyone else. It's hard to find anyone more heroic.
I wanted a Malibuuuuu Barbie.
This is so not funny.
Please close down this thread.
She also tweeted on the first day of school about how excited she was to be welcoming 75 new kids to school and inspire in them a desire to be life long learners. I imagine some of those kids are dead today. I am struck by ALL of the teachers acting heroically and really seeming to know what to do in the face of such an unimaginable tragedy. God bless them all. Op, go to hell
Agree, R19. I'm just waiting for some GOP jerk to mouth off about teachers so I can school them on the courage these women displayed.
PS - take a wild guess about my fragrance.
Cheryl AKA R18
I get that this is DL humor and am trying to be understanding, but it was a bit too soon.
And this woman fucking ROCKED, in every fucking possible way.
You know another sad thing about this school shooting? All the poor pedophiles in the state of CT now have a smaller dating pool from which to choose. Sorry, guys. Tough break.
[quote]And this woman fucking ROCKED, in every fucking possible way.
how do we know?
R24, maybe you should read the fucking news instead of questioning the character of a freshly dead woman. That's a shitty thing to say.
The principal is the real hero. She flipped on the loudspeakers when the murderer broke into the office where she was. He started screaming for everyone in the office to get their hands up. All the teachers heard that entire exchange over their class room intercom/speakers and many were able to hide their students and baricade the doors. Had she not turned on the intercom/loud speakers, none of the teachers would have known what was going on and many more class rooms full of children would have been murdered.
Someone in the office also called 911 the second the murderer burst into the office. The reason he didn't kill anymore children was because all the class room doors were locked (by the teachers) and he couldn't get in any of them and he heard the police sirens converging on the school. Then killed his useless, piece of shit self
I agree, r15. But this is only one of many incidents where women have displayed courage and bravery. Not only do I think women deserve the chance to serve in combat, it would be nice if words like "pussy" would stop being used synonymously with "coward."
R26, the teacher under the desk who didn't get shot in the office is the one who turned on the loud speaker.
No it is NOT FUNNY.
She was very brave and died trying to take down the gunman along with the school psychiatrist. If you saw her family being interviewed you would see how devastated they are. But she is a hero, as are all the brave teachers who tried to protect those children. May the ones who lost their lives rest in peace (if only the media would let them).
Disclaimer: in all seriousness, I fully, 100% agree that these teachers were modern-day heroes who saved a lot of kids who would have otherwise died.
However, that doesn't stop me from making dirty jokes: why did the chicken cross the road? To pick at the bullet-ridden remains of the Sandy Hook victims.
We'll get a fuller story when the two survivors can be interviewed...
