It's the highest ratings period over there.
What will you limeys be watching?
Do they have pantos on TV, or is that just a live theater (sorry, THEATRE) kind of thing?
Is Jennifer Saunders trotting out yet another AbFab reboot?
(I need the paycheck)
The Doctor Who Christmas special
Sometimes pantos are produced just for ITV. "All Star" productions.
Paint dry - it'll be more entertaining and exciting.
Yup. Dr. Who Christmas special, that's about it. Maybe if they repeat "The Two Ronnies" I'll watch that. Perhaps there will be a film or two worth watching? But for the most part, Vintage TV will be on, I'd imagine.
Any Shakespeare on BBC2 this year? Probably not. No idea. It's not like in the 80s (and early-mid 90s to a lesser extent) when you'd go through the Radio Times Christmas Edition and ring round all the things you intend to watch or tape (TAPE, ha!) a week or two in advance.
Also planning on playing quiz games on the PS2 with the folks. That's right, PS2- I gave them my old console. We've got Trivial Pursuit and also I just scored up The Weakest Link and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Absolute shit I expect, but should be a giggle.
I gather there's no Ab Fab this Christmas, regrettably. But there will be Downton Abbey and Call The Midwife specials.
Thanks for chiming in, ayb, our favorite limey.
