I Really Want To See "The Guilt Trip"
I should be ashamed of myself, right?
The Voice of the Night- Barbra used to be funny, but the comedies she's made in middle-age haven't impressed me. This one could be different, but I'm not counting on it.
- I also really want to see it, even though it seems as if Barbra has turned into an aged vaudevillian with this film. She should team up with Midler for a female version of The Sunshine Boys.
- It's just that on paper, there should be nothing about this movie that appeals to me. I mostly find Seth Rogen annoying (except when his in one of his "husky" instead of "fat" phases, and then I find him fuckable), the director has made nothing but chick flicks, including several execrable Katherine Heigl films, the writer has mostly written children's movies.
And yet, when I saw the trailer it made me grin like an idiot, and I've been trying to figure out the best way to convince my husband to do something so obviously gay as seeing a movie with Barbra in it.
