Love them. They're breaking barriers and challenging assumptions and stereotypes in places where gay images are scarce.
What have YOU done like that, R1?
LOVE love love these guys! They look so cute in that photo. More power to them and a happy, long life. This photo made my day.
Why do they look downright elderly?
Oh, well. Nice story.
Kissing a bear is like eating pussy, imho.
Because you're 12, R5. Maybe not chronologically, but emotionally.
Wow. I guess (gack!) there really is a lid for every pot.
Who's the top?
I'm guessing it's the bear with the slightly open paw, instead of the bear with the tight, clenched claws. I'm also guessing the top bear isn't very good at his job (see: bottom bear with tight, clenched claws).
It's not about looks, it's about growing old and having someone to care for and about you.
Having said that, these guys look far older than their chronological ages, so I'm guessing they have illness and need each other.
How do you kiss with that much hair?
Easier than you do it with your head up your ass, R11.
Uh, R5, maybe because WA just made it legal for them to get married? I agree with R7; you must be an itty bitty gayling to not realize that marriage equality is a fairly new thing.
LOVE IT. Sorry, but gay people come in all shapes and sizes.
Are your wet fibro breasts mad, R12? I agree with R11 - I can hardly even see their mouths.
Why can't every homosexual conform to a rigid physical and social stereotype? All others are GROSS!!
Mountain daddy & son. About four decades between them? Calvin and Nick of the Cascades?
One of them has cane face!
Their super-hairy holes must smell deliciously musky.
Awesome couple, good for them.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the hillbilly beards either, (they look like they should be carrying shotguns and a dead deer), but I love the fact that they are rocking a look that is SO contrary to the usual 'faces' of gay marriage.
They've excited joemygod and all his bear followers.
I think they're awesome.
Send the OP link to the Supreme Court. It might help a few of them broaden their perspective.
ZZ Top and ZZ Bottom
R17- they're 8 years apart
I didn't know ZZ Top were getting marred.
Unfashionable gay men are... unnatural. And a disgrace to the cause.
W&W for r25.
If you can't recognize how positive it is for gay guys who look like this to be receiving media exposure, you are an idiot. I would not feel comfortable rocking that style, or be interested in dating someone who did, but I think its incredibly awesome that they do enjoy that and don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks. Congratulations you foxy gay Ron Swansons
Oh please, these are typical gay guys, the only thing about them is they fetishize a different look than most.
Every square inch of them is carefully styled to project that look. From their Harley-Davidson t-shirts to their suspiciously clean camo ball caps. Note that they are wearing exactly the same ensemble - t-shirt, flannel shirt, hoodie, puffer jacket, camo cap.
I guarantee you they are wearing Fruit-of-the-Loom underwear, which they lovingly beat on a rock by hand for that well-worn holey look.
Congratulations! Two Grizzlies have tied the knot! What's wrong with that, haters?
For some reason I completely love them without even knowing them. I guess stereotypes can work both ways.
Weee Wee Wee Weeeeeee
No Prada? No lipgloss? Must be hidden ….
r31 fer crissakes they're at a Very Special Event, so they put on the china.
Fabulous...in their own way.
Flannel, Beards, beer bellys and cane!!
It's so fun to watch single, bitter eldergays hissing at the happiness of others.
The replies to this thread have convinced me most the posters on DL live in NYC..

Most of the posters on DL live in retirement homes.
Ithese two are not my type either, but I totally appreciate that they don't care
About the same things these prissy pot haters do. I can only hope they find you haters just as repulsive too.

Completely agree. I'm 43 and I often feel like I am reading posts by my parents or grandparents.
Good for them, I think it's lovely that they found each other.
It goes to prove that there's someone out thee for everyone.

I'm happy for the guys. I'm happy for all gay couples who can legally marry in this country.
They're adorable and I bet they are both very handy around the house.
R48 So you're saying they're male lesbians?
Very sweet. Hard to believe the guy on the left is my age but maybe he was in the service.
I'm guessing the people who hate their look tho I gay men all should look like they fell out of an Abercrombie ad. Sorry, but thats not real life. It would be fun to see everyone looking like a model of course :-) but we're all just people. I do this I their long grey/grey brown beards age them but again, it's them. Find your bliss in life.
Yes, R49. Yes I am.
The Washington story has links to other photos - like Jane (77) and Pete-e (85) - together for 35 years and now legally married!
I'm very happy for these guys. Fuck all the haters.
They are not "mountain bears." Their beards are clean.
Homophobes like to believe all gay men are like the jusdemental prisspots posting on this thread. We need more of these mountaineer type bears to come out, to be themselves. The rest of you just make me sick.
BUMP for country bears.
I'm not hating, nor am I emotionally 12, I just thought they looked significantly older than their listed ages. Maybe flowing facial hair does that. Anyway, it was a completely separate topic from the story. And PLEASE, like everyone here isn't guilty of referring to something superficial about another human being.
The mountain bears, the boy in the pink shoes and the Ikea monkey.
Wow. There really IS someone for everyone! I will keep waiting for my Prince.
They don't give a shit if you don't like their facial hair, people. Get a fucking life!
I think this picture is BEAUTIFUL! I'm sooooo happy for them! I was looking at pictures of other couples from the "Big Day" in Seattle, and I had to wipe my nose on my caftan sleeve
( Yeah, I know, BIG FAT MARY !)
Hopefully, this is the beginning of good things. I'm going to bet that SCOTUS rules that banning SSM violates the 14th Amendment under equal protection under the law.
Love it, R61!
Bravo for them! I love the picture.
Congrats, very happy for them. But why is everyone on here so surprised that guys like this exist? Have you never heard of bears before? There are tons of guys like this around.
Side note, why does everyone assume that they are homosexual? One or both of them might be bisexual.
