People who are not familiar with CT are always surprised to hear this, but there are parts of this state that are so white trash you would think you were in Alabama if it weren't for the accents. The CT you see on TV and in movies (Greenwich, Westport etc.) is only a relatively small percentage of the state. We have more than our share of absolute garbage people, just like anywhere else.
