Yotam Ottolenghi

Openly gay, Israeli-born, London-based chef. Hugely successful in Europe. Is he becoming better-known in the US? Anyone here read the profile on him in the New Yorker's food issue?

• He's reasonably well known here in Canada. There was a big promo push for that new cookbook which appeared a month ago. He even came to Toronto to promote it.

• His surname sounds like a corruption of "otto lingue," which would mean "eight tongues." Would make him popular with the ladies!
