Mitt Romney Rejoins Board Of Directors At Marriott International
Romney previously served on the board of Marriott International from 1993 until 2002, when he left to mount a successful run for Massachusetts governor. He rejoined the company after an unsuccessful presidential campaign in 2008, again serving on the board from January 2009 to January 2011, when he stepped down in order to mount a second White House campaign.

- My former boss (private equity) was on the board of Directors at Marriott (and I think Culligan Water) with mittens. They knew each other for years. My boss was an okay guy (Democrat) and gave the maximum political donations to everyone but one person who asked (repug or dem). He said it was a cheap way to do business. At the time the maximum donation allowed was $1800/$2000. That was the equivalent of pocket change to my boss. The only person he didn't give the max to was romney. He gave romney a $50 donation because he thought he was slime.

If I remember correctly, I believe the Marriott had discontiued offering porn in its hotel rooms when Mitt became the Repug nominee so that Mitt wouldn't have defend the hotel chain for carrying porn--and making tons of money as a result.
