At night, how many times do you get up to pee? How many times is too many, meaning you should see a doctor?
I never do.
I think more than once is a problem.
Hell, I think if you do it EVERY NIGHT, even if it's only once a night, it's a problem.
Usually I only have to pee about 5 minutes after I am comfy cozy in bed.
I used to do it at least once a night, but once I had my sleep apnea treated, I NEVER do. The doctor told me the reason I was having to get up to pee was that I woke up (subconsciously) numerous times due to the apnea and once I was awake I realized that I needed to use the bathroom. Now that I no longer wake up during the night, I don't pee until I get up in the morning.
If you don't drink anything for an hour before sleep you won't have to pee until morning.
I pee a lot in general, but there are a lot of prostate problems in my dad's family. I'm sure I need to get mine checked.
More like three hours before bed.
Every night at 2am. Then I jack off and fall deeply back asleep.
An all nighter ....
Not getting up to pee during the night!
Wow, you lucky guys - just wait until you get older and it's 4-5 times a night.
You might need to be tested for diabetes. Especially if you are over weight. Some people retain water during the day and are just programed to eliminate nocturnally
Also sleep apnea can cause you to have to pee multiple times a night.
R12 Now THERE'S an original thought.
This happens to fatties with sleep apnea a lot.
The most I can go is about 3 hours, although during the day I can sometimes make 4 hours without peeing. Sometimes, though, I have to go every hour during the day and every 90 minutes at night. It's like a weekly cycle or something.
How the hell should I know? It's not like I'm awake when it happens. But from the way the mattress sags after about two weeks and the people downstairs complain about something leaking through their ceiling, I'd guess maybe six or seven times.
Do I get paid for this? It's an interview, right?
Datalounge could make some money by allowing people to sponsor threads. This thread was brought to you by the fine folks who manufacture rubber sheets.
The thread did not ask how many times you pee during the night. The question was how many times you get up to do it.
usually once a night, last night I didn't though

I need to cut off drinking anything two hours before bedtime. Then I don't need to get up during the night.
Usually twice a night, damn BPM.
I was told by the doctor that if you get up to pee more than twice you may have a problem--I usually do once or twice so I guess I'm in the safe range.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
