• Sadly you are wrong, r13. American football is a victim of the protective apparatuses they wear for the game. They don't get any real protection, but it used to give many players a sense of being protected. This is what has lead to the horrendous head trauma so many players have experienced. American football is for the stupid and ignorant. US football is a blood sport and will be illegal when recognized as such. Any sport that allows brutality into its play is not a sport, it's sanctioned killing.

• Two weeks ago NBC broadcast college rugby championship matches. Oh my God, the players were absolutely stunning. Each one in amazing physical condition... the uniforms were uniformly tight and revealing. The matches were great to watch as well. As others have said, I'm beginning to prefer ruby to American football.
