As you get older does you sex drive decrease

I hooked up with this guy last night, but all I could think about afterwards was how eventually when I'm older chances of hooking up with anyone will disappear. Lets face once your past a certain age in the gay world you become invincible .Even guys who are middle aged most of the time want younger guys. I'm 33 now nearly 34 and I enjoy my sex life but I keep on wondering how many years of casual sex is actually left.So how do gay guys from 45 to 70 deal with the lack of intimacy.at a certain point do you loose interest.

• Agree with r4, and in addition to "not caring" it is also a matter of a certain amount of relief. You just come to the realization that all the effort and sometimes drama of procuring sex partners is somehow far less worth it with advancing age. I have done all that I care to do sexually with men, anything else that comes along is just superfluous repetition and I have accepted the fact that as an aging queen of 58, I am no longer the spring chicken I was at 28 and in many ways glad of it. I'll keep my options open, but I'm not going to expect any knight in shining armor, I learned that lesson that all gay men must learn sooner or later a long time ago. Happy is the man who knows he has or has had enough.

• My sex drive increased at 28, then peaked and started dropping again at 39, but at 42, I've found it increasing again. I'll never be 18 again, but I'm surprised by my stamina and interest at this age, actually.

• There may be some truth to the saying that you are as young as you feel r14, but I would say 56 or 58, as I am, is "older". BTW, are you what one might consider "cute" at 70? • I am in my early 50's. Sex drive has decreased some and THANK GOD. It really frees you up to live a much fuller, richer life and be a person who doesn't think with his dick all the time. I am not rationalizing anything, either. Still love sex. Can still get an erection pretty easily. And I am still attracted to guys. But it doesn't rule my life and is not all that I think about. It's called maturity. Aging, too, of course, but now I can just smile at the idiotic things younger men do to get laid. All the stupid bad choices they make. The dumbass things they say. I know because I DID them, too. There is so much less drama in my life anymore and it is absolutely wonderful.

• Everyone is different. But, of course it does. On average, men are at their sexual peak at 18. It doesn't just subside, it continues to subside.

• Serious question. Does the penis change size as you age? I swear mine gets just as hard, but it's not as big as it once was. I know weight gain makes it look shorter, but I swear I'm losing both length and width. • It's a fool's game to try to predict how you will feel about things in 10-20+ years with the mentality and perspective you have today OP. People have a funny way of changing over time and in years to come you might find that casual sex doesn't really matter to you anymore. So just enjoy it now and don't get caught up in worrying about how things will be in the future.

• I am a Gay man in my mid 60's and have nearly as strong a sex drive as I did when I was much younger. I went to my physician complaining of lessened sex drive and lack of energy; she had me tested and discovered that my testosterone level was subnormal. I am now on a regular regime of testosterone injections which have revitalized me. Also, occassioanly I'll pop a Viagra, but I don't like the side effects (Back ache, weird blue vision, nasal congestion).
