PR manufactured friendships among stars

Do they really have friends that they call up and say "come on over, we'll bbq, drink some beer and then watch a few flicks" like normal people do or are so many of their "friendships" PR spin? Remember TomKat/Smiths best bud spin? I find it hard to believe that they hung out together. Katie Holmes arranging play dates and cupcake parties for Suri and the the Jolie/Pitt kids? Never happened.

• Wentworth Miller and Luke MacFarlane come to mind. A stupid pic of two buds coming back from a camping or fishing trip was blown into a full-on bromance by the paps, and even more ludicrously as a romantic relationship in some corners. I always get out a kick of that, because the truth is that at most, they both enjoy outdoor sports activity, and nothing more. As straight guys, I bet they got a particularly good belly laugh over the romantic relationship thing. So silly.

• Rumor has it Andrew Garfield is going to start hanging out with Vin Diesel to make him look more heterosexual.

• Of course not, OP. Celebrities don't have friends. They're kept vacuum-sealed until its time for a photo op.

• Dimwits Beyonce & Gwyneth Paltrow.

• Raise your hand if you think that Gwynneth and Beyonce actually like each other.

• Tom Cruise and Taylor Lautner. There was stories that Tom was taking young Taylor under his wing.

• I thought that was Zac Efron R6. IMO opinion Tom was heavily courting the Smiths at the time for the church and they were never really "friends". Same with the Beckhams but from what I heard Victoria thought they were too creepy but Tom still stalked David around.

• Chuck Norris and Nathan Lane.

• Worse are the hosts of shows like ET and Access Hollywood who act like they are the stars' besties...

• For some reason I remember Rosie O'Donnell having Beverly D'Angelo on and introducing Bev as one of her closest friends. Bev came out and after a little while Rosie said something about her kids and Beverly said I didn't know you had children?! After that I never believed it when stars talk about how close they are. Rosie just never mentioned the three kids to Bev.

• There were a couple of photos of Reese Witherspoon Cameron Diaz & Gwyneth Paltrow doing a "girls night out" at some restauarant, and it was so fake it was ridiculous. I think Reese's big shot husband sets up these photo ops to construct an image.After all, Reese is getting older.
