Singer/composer Ryan Leslie's laptop with all his latest songs (for which there were no back-ups) on it was stolen in Germany, and he offered a $20K reward for it. Then he insanely upped the ante and offered $1 million for its return, and put it in writing (and on a video he released). How did he think he would get away with not paying?
