Ryan Leslie ordered to pay $1million reward he promised

Singer/composer Ryan Leslie's laptop with all his latest songs (for which there were no back-ups) on it was stolen in Germany, and he offered a $20K reward for it. Then he insanely upped the ante and offered $1 million for its return, and put it in writing (and on a video he released). Well, someone in Germany found the laptop, but Leslie refused to pay him the $1 million reward he promised. So the guy in Germany sued him, and now Leslie has to pay. How did he think he would get away with not paying?

• Silly Germans! No sense of humor or understanding of how Americans like to talk out of their ass.

• He's an interesting guy--double 800 on his SATs, and he gave the Hravard oration when he graduated from Harvard at only 19 years old. He decided to take a stab at being a musician and his been a brilliant success at it. It's hard to imagine how someone who is otherwise so smart could be so stupid.

• This suggests all those empty promises I made could have caught up with me.
