Ryan Leslie ordered to pay $1million reward he promised
Singer/composer Ryan Leslie's laptop with all his latest songs (for which there were no back-ups) on it was stolen in Germany, and he offered a $20K reward for it. Then he insanely upped the ante and offered $1 million for its return, and put it in writing (and on a video he released).
Well, someone in Germany found the laptop, but Leslie refused to pay him the $1 million reward he promised.
So the guy in Germany sued him, and now Leslie has to pay. How did he think he would get away with not paying?
Silly Germans! No sense of humor or understanding of how Americans like to talk out of their ass.
He's an interesting guy--double 800 on his SATs, and he gave the Hravard oration when he graduated from Harvard at only 19 years old. He decided to take a stab at being a musician and his been a brilliant success at it.
It's hard to imagine how someone who is otherwise so smart could be so stupid.
This suggests all those empty promises I made could have caught up with me.
