Tell Us Who You Think The Most Compelling LGBT Person Of 2012 Is!
As the year comes to a close, we're beginning to look back on the people and events that made 2012 incredible.
As part of our end of the year round up, which we'll begin to roll out towards the end of December, we'd like to celebrate the most compelling LGBT people of the year.
We've already got some ideas of who should be on the list but we'd love your input.
So, in the comments section below, tell us who you think the most compelling LGBT person of the 2012 is and why. We're looking for everyone from those who are visible in the mainstream and those who are flying under the radar.
We'll consider all nominations and present our list sometime before the end of the year.

Poll Troll/Nate Silver
Runner Up: Rachel Maddow
I just recently started working shorter hours, so am home earlier than usual. For some reason, I tuned in to "Ellen" one day and have since gained a new appreciation for her.
I think she and Neil Patrick Harris are definitely the most "likeable" high-profile people in the public eye. Ellen comes across on her show and very genuine and loving and sensitive and seems to honestly take great pleasure in making people's lives better.
She is quite possibly the best model or ambassador (or whatever you want to call it) of good will the gay community has, in my opinion.
Anderson Cooper (came out this year)
Rachel Maddow. Nate was just pushing paper. Maddow was on the front lines all year.
The greatest ambassador gay have, ELLEN
Is there any evidence that Nate is gay or is this the usual wishful-thinking delusions we always see here?
I'm going with AC. His coming-out was the biggest gay celebrity-related news of the year.
Frank Ocean. Case closed.
No nomination for Ben Maisani?
I agree with R12, Anderson Cooper's coming out was the biggest gay celebrity-related news of the year, so he should definitely be nominated.
I nominate Erik Rhodes' glorious fisted butt hole, and per-circumcision cock.
Hey, I liked his musical taste, what can I say.

You've obviously never had to deal with her off-camera, R8.
Anderson Cooper is such a privileged class man bimbo. He reeks of a Gay 1 percenter.
Sorry R20, but Anderson Cooper owns this thread. If there's one LGBT person that made a big splash this year by coming out, that's him.
Nate Silver is openly gay to the idiot at R12 as a simple google search would tell you. Though DL has known he was gay for years, the gossip is accurate sometimes.
Gays that don't lump LGBT together as separate. Nate Silver could be one of the most compelling people of the year, period.
