CONFIRMED: Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play Batman in 'Justice League'
Drew McWeeny delivered an exclusive on his site HitFix on Nov. 26 and reported that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will take on the role of Batman in the new "Justice League" movie. The word from his source is that JGL will "absolutely" play Batman in the movie.
"Justice League" is the DC Comics tentpole movie that Warner Bros. hopes will be their "Avengers." (lol no) The team consists of some of the world's most famous heroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman. (LMAO)
The word is that there might be something thrown into "Man of Steel," the new Superman movie, that will have Joseph Gordon-Levitt's appearance as Batman foreshadowed. This news could also mean that Henry Cavill could reprise his role as Superman in the "Justice League" movie as well.
McWeeny also reports that one other character from the "Dark Knight" trilogy is in talks to do something as well. One of the most discussed additions is Gary Oldman as James Gordon, although Michael Caine as Alfred is a more realistic possibility. Don't forget about Morgan Freeman to help John Blake build his new toys or maybe even the return of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne himself as a mentor character.
How will fans react if the Batman in the new "Justice League" movie is not Bruce Wayne? If McWeeny is right, the Internet might explode.

- For a second, I thought it said "CONFIRMED BACHELOR Joseph Gordon-Levitt".
- Are JGL and Sean Lennon fucking? Those two are awfully close.
- Midget Batman?
- Is he going to deepen his voice like Bale? What a mistake to cast him. Ugh.
- It's been officially denied, he isn't playing Batman.
- McWeeny?
- What's with the LOL and LMAOing? Are you a Marvel fanboy or am I missing something?

- [quote]Is he going to deepen his voice like Bale? What a mistake to cast him. Ugh.
Bale's ludicrous smoker's voice was a mistake.
- This is going to be the BEST Batman evah!
- R9 at least Bale had the body and was a good Bruce Wayne. JGL, while a cutie, does not have the body or height to play Batman. That's why he was cast as "Robin". Ridiculous. Surely they can find someone taller and better built.
- what a huge mistake! hope the person gets fired when it flops. Whose cock is JGL sucking?
- Spoiler.
In the Nolan interpretation he 'becomes' Robin (or Batman2.0?) at the end.
- I agree, JGL, though handsome and possessing a nice build, would be better suited to play an older Robin or Nightwing. He'd also make a great Riddler. He's not exactly Bruce Wayne.
- Hipster Batman?
Is Greta Gerwig in it too?
- More like Batboy R13. :)
- JGL's character did NOT become Robin in the last Batman movie. John Blake's FIRST name was Robin but he was taking over for Batman and became BATMAN not Robin. Giving him a first name of Robin was just a lovenote to the fans by Christopher Nolan.

- R17 oh come on, it was pretty obvious he was supposed to be "Robin", sidekick to Batman. Just because Bruce Wayne left all his secrets to him doesn't actually mean he's going to be the next Batman. And if he is he's going to have to invest in a lot of steroids and lifts in his boots to rise to the occasion, so to speak.
- JGL has a tight body. The action scene of him crawling and fighting on the ceiling in Inception was one of the best things in the movie.
- Isn't he to fat to play batman? itsn't there some fat superhero he could play?
- Hillary Clinton as wonder woman.
- This movie, if it's ever even made, will be a turkey even if Christian Bale's Batman is in.
- R22, the Avengers worked. That's why Justice League is back on again.
- Oh please. This already has the earmarks of a train wreck. Marvel has been brilliant in its film strategy. The only successful stuff Dc can churn out are CW Tv shows, and those are so-so at best.
