Can't wait to hear Hepburn butcher a Russian accent.
Saw the previews on TCM & this looks really bad. I love Hepburn, but this just seems like a lousy idea from the outset.
Oh, it's terrible. I suppose if Cary Grant had been cast it might have been okay, but Bob Hope?
Miss Hepburn must have been gritting her teeth the whole time.

I noticed it wasn't listed in my local TV Times, so perhaps it was a recent addition to the schedule.

Very odd.
R4, the story sounds fine -- written by Ben Hecht & kind of like "Ninotchka". But I agree with you that using Bob Hope instead of a Cary Grant type ruins the whole thing.
I don't recall ever reading anything about Hepburn & Hope even knowing each other, much less being friends. I wonder what kind of relationship they did have after going through this ordeal together.
Leonard Maltin's review says that although the script isn't very good, Hepburn & Hope have a good rapport.
So I'm going to watch it since it might be worth it just for the fun of seeing the two of them together.
It's such a blatant rip-off of Ninotchka, I wonder how they got away with it.
