This seems to be the gist of Nurse Jackie...

People being nice to each other and getting in trouble for it. The fat nurse disposes of Jackie's drug filled urine sample and gets fired. The English doctor wants to pay for Jackie's daughter's school, but offends Jackie & her husband by being so generous...in fact all the English doctor ever seems to live for, is to help and 'be there' for Jackie and usually gets on Jackie's nerves for doing so. Jackie helps out her new boss's druggie son and lands herself in the shit with the new boss. The nice nurse moves in with Jackie, just so she can be incredibly useful to Jackie, take care of her kids...and then gets in her way and on her nerves and gets barked at by Jackie's husband. The good looking doctor, Peter whatsisname, just wants to support the English doctor through her pregnancy (he has nothing else to do) and just 'be there for her'...and all his kindness seems to do is bug her and make her more and more sarcastic with him. I'm right, aren't I?
