Classic country singer Ruby Lee Jackson dies at 71.

Known for her early '60s hits "God's Gonna Getcha" and "My Tears Flowed Like Wine," as well as for her widely publicized battle with alcoholism and turbulent marriage to Jimmy Watkins, who discovered her and hired her to sing with his band, the Tennessee Mountain Boys. She staged an unsuccessful comeback attempt in the mid-'80s and suffered a heart attack in 1987 that forced her into semi-retirement, though she made several appearances with her daughter, country singer Jenna Watkins, in the 1990s.
