Well, my parents have left, and I miss them already.

I love Thanksgiving, but it is kind of sad when it's over. Kind of a relief, too.

• I'm glad you get along with yours and have them for holidays, OP. Mine both died this year. I miss them too, but it wasn't always easy.

• My parents are fine, R3. R1 is the person who suffered the loss of two parents this year.

• You mean R1? No, it wasn't gruesome. Mom died of lung cancer from smoking even though she stopped 32 years earlier. Dad then just dwindled and got weaker and died 6 months after her. He had kidney issues forever.
