A show about children living in poverty. Largely told only through the words of the kids themselves. It is moving... and a total downer. Check it out.
Apparently%20the%20PBS%20troll- Oh, this is sad.
- We did it yesterday, PBS troll.

- Yar... I see yesterday. It's still worth watching. You just want somebody to give every adult in this damn thing a job. They're just in horrible shape and they're not bad people. What a horrible mess.
- Yeah because no state has any welfare programs for kids.
Oh wait yes they do, free food, free clothes, free medical care, section 8 housing and if that fails a nice warm foster family.
Real poverty ended in America in the 50s. Now we have poverty that is brought about by druggies, thieves and welfare queens who plan on having kids to milk the system. Then they go on PBS and cry instead of taking responsibility for their own lives.
- You can watch it here. Very Heartbbreaking.

- How long ago was that show done, OP? Did they follow up?
- R4? You DO know that in some places the waiting list for Section 8 housing is years, right? Some of these kids could be high-school age before they get a roof over their heads.
- Here's how you can help -

- A "nice warm foster family"? A lot of those people are in it for the money only, and "warm" is the least of it. Others are sexual predators, like the people an acquaintance ended up with. They had two teenaged sons who repeatedly raped her until she ran away. Then she was the "troublemaker" for running away. Eventually she ended up homeless. I have no idea where she is now.
I did wonder whether these people could get some welfare or food stamps.
