What are the hip places for linens and shower curtains?
Can anyone recommend a new and interesting shop or website?
I'm looking for stuff with color and patterns, not anything boring.
I'm in NYC btw. Bed, Bath and Beyond is crap and ABC Carpets is too posh and tasteful (and expensive).
- Crate and Barrel. Browse online first.
- Ikea for cheap and cheerful (and colorful etc.)
Gracious Home for quality and a good selection (although probs too tasteful and pricey for the OP).
- Pottery Barn

- Bed, Bath and Beyonce is kind of fun.
- A 4-page list from New York Magazine:

- Has anyone slept on Pratesi sheets? That cow Oprah just raved about them according to Kitty Kelly's expose.
- Sin in Linen (dot com) used to have lots of cool retro-styled linens and shower curtains, but I see now they're much more Goth/Hot Topic than they used to be. Still some fun stuff, though, like this tiki-ish shower curtain.

- OP, Anyone that uses the word "Hip" is not.
- I've never used a store bought shower curtain. It's cheap enough to buy whatever fabulous material you want and either make it yourself (you can get a grommet kit) or bring it to your cleaners/tailors and ask them to make it.
I do get nice colored vinyl liners to coordinate with the cotton material curtain.
My mother started me on this since she was always was turning cool looking sheets into shower curtains.
- Google 'eyesore'.
- I need 87 inch window curtains. They need to be white with spots of pink worked in somehow but not polka dotted or striped just some kind of very minimalist design. Where are these curtains?

Second.
- Gay people problems.
- The hip place for linens and shower curtains on the lower east side is Rags and Bitches. Built from the bucket list of a dying pervert, this Avenue C bitch parade has EVERYTHING: Tweekers, Skivvies, Spud Webb, a child... and a Russian guy who runs on a treadmill in a Cosby sweater. This hole in the wall on Avenue C is filled with Furkels and Blingos just waiting to sell you distressed cotton and asbestos sheets in colors like Puppy, Ravioli, Spin, and Paisley.

- LOL, r13.
- A friend of mine has Peacock Alley sheets and they are like sleeping on cream. But they are INCREDIBLY pricey.
- Shower curtain hanging in front of the shower.
Linens on the bed.
- Valiant try, R14.

- Why don't you just get glass doors installed. I hate shower curtains. You can get doors for a few hundred bucks.
- Jonathan Adler
- This is a propos of nothing, but am I the only one that notices that Jonathan Adler sounds just like Linus from Peanuts?

- thanks.

- Buy some plastic garbage bags and duct tape from Walmart and make your own.
- Glass shower doors, while a nice idea in theory, become stained with a filmy unhygienic goo that builds up after a year or so and is impossible to remove and only gets worse.
Mary Hartman
- I warsh museff wit' a rag onna stick.
- My favorite is John Robshaw - if pricey boho is your vibe.

There are lots of Peacock Alley sheets at Tuesday Morning.
- Marimekko
- r27, do you ever actually clean your home? If you wipe down the doors even once a week with glass or bathroom cleaner they will sparkle for years.
