• Neither of them are bloviating. Quit exaggerating. I think she has some interesting ideas, not that I agree with them. She alternates from being interesting to having some pretty pedestrian ideas. She's actually quite pretty, but she does seem quite young at times. I watched her on Morning Joe the other day and she loved playing with the Big Boys. On her own show the same day, she was really rude to her co-hosts. It looked like she was feeling very self-important to be on another show. I think she also exaggerates in her self-promotion. In her bios, she states that she danced with 2 different ballet companies. Then she told Brian Lamb that she stopped dancing at age 18, because she decided to go to college, but she had danced with these companies for 5 years. No way she was dancing professionally at age 13. Plus, she's 5'11" so she's too tall to be a professional ballerina. She probably took intensive classes connected with these companies, but she clearly didn't make the cut and seems to be disingenuous about it. It makes you wonder what else she is less-than-honest about.

• So I'm working on some school stuff, and have The Cycle on in the background. I've been listening but not watching. I suddenly realize that the discussion has been much too cogent and balanced, and then the absence of a unbearably shrill voice contending everything. It looks like Miss Cupp is still on Thanksgiving vacation. This show works so much better without her. Today at least, her token replacement is nowhere near as annoying.

• She makes that makeup mistake a lot of women wearing glasses do--she does dark, heavy mascara and liner, making her eyes look like small, dirty smears through the lens. It gives off a whorish cake-face look, like Sarah Palin.
