Which version would you most like to see?

• I'm surprised no one has made a musical out of this property yet.

• There was a musical of it, with Millicent Martin. It played England and a production in Texas or something.

• I'd like a dramatic version with Michelle Pfeiffer and Jessica Lange.

• Inspired by the Midler and Karen Carpenter thread, THAT would have been good casting.

• Karen Carpenter would have been right for a musical of The Glass Menagerie ("Blue Roses!")

• A musical Glass Menagerie could be wonderful, like Grey Gardens! Can Jessica Lange sing?

• Even though we had the TV version with the Redgrave sisters, Alice Ghostley as "Baby Jane" and Shelly Winters as "Blanche" would have been interesting two decades ago.

• A rock opera version with Madonna and Cyndy Lauper.

• I'll wait for the Dakota Fanning/Abigail Breslin version in 2062.

• An all black version starring Viola Davis and Mo'Nique (or Viola and Oprah). Or an all black musical version starring Beyonce and Solange Or an all black non-traditionally cast version starring Venus Williams and Serena Williams

• Goldie probably could do a good comic version of Jane. She's certainly haggy looking enough for the part these days. An overly serious Streep/Close version wouldn't work, and anyone who suffered through the endless Mildred Pierce miniseries knows why.
